Likely after turning in my 2003 TL-S in Aegean Blue Peal lease.
Well, yesterday I picked up a 2004 TL base. Black on black. 16k miles.
Yes, 16,000 miles
Did a full detail on it today and it looks showroom new. Literally.
Glad to be back and reading once again.

It was up for $17,000 at a Maserati dealer. I essentially did the deal over the phone.... Traded in my gas-guzzling 2004 Mercury Mountaineer Premier AWD/V8 with 118600mi and $12,700 out the door (tax, tags, everything......)
I did very well...
And the manager let me take a 2010 ZR1 out while they were prepping the TL. What a car. It really IS the blue devil. That had 810 miles on it and was up for $80,000

You paid a dollar on every mile, nice grab.
I picked up a 1991 Accord back in '06 with only 10k miles on it. Belonged to an AF Colonel who never drove the car.
I get amazed every time I hear about a low mileage pickup like this and how it's even possible. What's the story behind your TL?

2 owner car. First owner traded it in in 2005. 2nd owner was what the manager described as disabled but more of like disfigured/arm. She literally drove it 1500 miles per year. She came in last week to their Rover store and bought an Evoque (I think that's what it is... A small wedged Land Rover) and there's my TL.
I have no reason to doubt the story. Everything is original except the battery. Tires, brakes, all weather floor mats.... Everything.
It did have a strange sunroof deflector installed too. It looked goofy to me and I removed it and absolutely has been on there since 04. It took me a good hour to correct the paint.

looks clean. One thing I would probably change out is the tires. At 16k miles and 10+ years old, it might be dry rotting, unless the car was parked indoors the whole time
got any pics of the interior by any chance? I dont think I've seen a mint 04 interior except in brochures from when the car was new.

Thr steering wheel looks a little weird in this picture but I can say it is absolutely perfect.. And there is no doubt that that this was a garage kept car, tires... Perfect, interior, perfect, trunk looks like it's never been used.
It's like a TL time capsule for me
They also had the all-weather mats installed. The "TL" embroidery is bright bright white under the rubber mats

OP, I found you're car still listed for sale online as I did a 3G search with lowest mileage listed first just to see whats out there. I went through all the pics and I really like what I see. All the things I normally look for on a super mint low mileage example checked out very good. Extremely clean and new looking brake components, inner wheel barrels, original wheel weights in there as well, VIN label on the rear bumper etc etc. Very nice find!! As far as price goes its hard to gauge ones with this kind of mileage as book values IMO usually go out the window. You just cant compare a "new" 10 year old car to any other car with triple or even several times its mileage and there is certainly no other one like it in the country. When and if the time comes to sell my super low mileage MRP/Ebony 6MT Type S it will be interesting to see what I can do with it since there will be no other one like it available. Sellers market.
Keep that puppy mint please!

The sales staff at Bennett Maserati were absolutely awesome to deal with. Here's a high end dealer with well over a million dollars of inventory and I walked in wearing basketball shorts, a sweatshirt and sneakers and hat. Those guys treated me as if I was buying a $100,000 car. They were simply cool as shlt.
I emailed the owner of the dealer the next day expressing my pleasure and asked him to personally thank every person involved in my sale from the dude who wiped the car down to the finance guy (along with the GM and my salesman).
Today, I received a text from the salesman thanking me for the purchase as well as the email.
I called him and simply said "people are extremely quick to complain and bitch about a bad experience or displeasure with something..... But rarely if ever offer true compliments for outstanding service ".
Truth be told, I'm a Philly detective and I know about complaints that people make regarding service- either real or perceived. I just can't say enough good about them.
There was also another BIG thing that happened while they were prepping the car that I will not mention here in order to safeguard these guys. But for car/motorcycle guys like me, it was an amazing experience that only a few of us ''normal" folk will ever have the chance of doing.
All il say about it is that you'd be lucky to even see one of these vehicles on the road. I had a huge smile for many miles
Bennett Maserati = top notch

While I didn't do a "full detail" like I said (I really would like to have clay bar'd the car) I merely put a nice fresh coat of wax to temporarily hide some minor surface swirls. Once I get an entire day, I'll really do it like I wanted to. I just wanted it shiny and clean.... I also need to somehow restore the steering wheel. Saddle soap or some lexol products will surely balance out the color and moisten it up a bit. Other than that, a dealer could have put a little time into it and sold it as a '14 demo (if it were the same body style) it's that nice.
And the best part......? I traded in an SUV that I took with me as part of an on-going divorce and traded it in. It weirded me out taking my stunning girlfriend out in a car that was still in the ex's name. The ex hasn't seen it yet, and I know she will think I bought a "brand new" car, she's that misinformed and crazy and will ABSOLUTELY accuse me of having hidden money during our marriage to buy the car lol
Either way, the payment on the TL will either equal (or be lesser than) the monthly fuel cost on the truck.
It's a win.

I'm guessing if you did your own paint correction, you knew this, but no one else mentioned it. Congrats on the purchase!
