Which G are you talking about? All the cars you mentioned are smaller than the G, always have been. With me standing 6'5" and with a family, the TL and the G were the only choices I had out of the five.

I too looked at the G35S - but ended up with the TLS. Tough decision - it too is a nice car. In the end though I preferred the Acura.

Good luck.

The interior feature blow away any car I have owned, including the Type S. The NAV is better, the Bluetooth is more advanced. I even like the thicker steering wheel. Like I said in my original post. I wish I would have driven the G35 Sport before I bought the TL. I would saved 7K and a lot of aggravation.
You got the AT in both the TL-S and G35s right? If so, both have those cool paddle shifters. well what do you think so far feels more like a drivers car and has a soul of a sports car?

last time i checked the G35 was close to the same size as the TL and the M45/35 was close in size to the RL? Id imagine if acura came back out with the CL its rival would be the G35/37 coupe

i had the same problem too. every time i passed a bump or drive up a driveway, i can hear some noise, but the dealer was willing to change all 4 suspension assemblies for me. Well I ended up changing my suspension to H&R spring and Koni shocks later. so i still have 4 brand new TL factory suspensions.

I guess some people enjoy making up stuff without even looking it up.... The Infiniti is actually slightly larger in cargo space, and only slightly smaller in passenger volume. And if you look at the itemized dimensions, I'm sure you'd agree they are basically equal.

From infiniti.com:

Infiniti G35

Headroom with sunroof 39.1 inches (front)/37.2 inches (rear)
Legroom 43.9 inches (front)/34.7 inches (rear)
Shoulder room 55.6 inches (front)/55.2 inches (rear)
Hip room 55.1 inches (front)/53.7 inches (rear)

Passenger volume with sunroof 96.5 cubic feet
Cargo volume 13.5 cubic feet

From acura.com

Acura TL

Headroom (front / rear) 38.7 in (984 mm) / 37.2 in (945 mm) | BASE | TYPE–S
Legroom (front / rear) 42.8 in (1088 mm) / 34.9 in (887 mm) | BASE | TYPE–S
Shoulder Room (front / rear) 58.3 in (1482 mm) / 55.7 in (1414 mm) | BASE | TYPE–S
Hiproom (front / rear) 55.6 in (1412 mm) / 53.8 in (1367 mm) | BASE | TYPE–S

EPA Passenger Volume 97.9 cu ft | BASE | TYPE–S
Cargo Volume 12.5 cu ft | BASE | TYPE–S

I've heard the same thing, plus i have friends and family with Infiniti / Nissan vehicles and they've had many problems. I was going to get the G35 but they were pretty much against the idea.

Would Have Never Traded In A Tl For A 4-door G35. Maybe For A Coupe. Car Does Not Have The Body Lines As A Tl!

More info on the size comparison of the TL to the new G Sedan:

Acura TL
Exterior
Length: 189.8 in. Width: 72.2 in.
Height: 56.7 in. Wheel Base: 107.9 in.
Ground Clearance: 5.8 in. Curb Weight: 3559 lbs.

'07 G35 Sedan
Exterior
Length: 187 in. Width: 69.8 in.
Height: 57.2 in. Wheel Base: 112.2 in.
Ground Clearance: 5.3 in. Curb Weight: 3532 lbs.

They look pretty comparable to me. FYI, the weight numbers are for the 6MT versions of each vehicle.

To the OP, good luck with the new G. I'm sorry to hear you experienced so many issues with the TL-S. I, for one, would appreciate a thorough review of the G after you've had some more time with the car. I've never driven it, but I did go the unveiling of the G at my local Infiniti dealer. I was very impressed with the improved finish quality of the car.

Thanks for the information. I had a 2003 Altima, I know what the G offers for space, it's bigger than the three that acuraboy7 mentioned. If I can put my big ass in it and be comfortable, THEN I know what I'm talking about.

I didn't say against the TL. I said it's bigger than the 3, TSX and IS, which you said the G is to be compared to.

I didn't realize that the TL-S was a lot lower and a bit heavier than the 07 G35 sedan?

it's the exact opposite for me, my 04 TSX has been in the shop more than 5 times for warranty related fixes like rattles, 2 recalls, seat railing loose, and cd changer broken, compared to my dad's 04 G35x it only has been in the shop 2 times for the brakes which will be replaced free by Infiniti for the life of the car and the right passenger power seat was defective, which was also free.

i think it's more by chance. ironically, both vehicles the TSX and G35 are Made in Japan. Japan build quality? It's still good, but not like in the past.

Yes that maybe true but, you forget about that huge hump in the rear seat cuz of the RWD/AWD that thing takes up alot of room. they act like that thing is transparent when they give you thoses numbers
