Red face I did it again.. New MDX

Posted in the MDX section by yours truly..

I am a TL'er hopping over from the 3G section. I fell in love with the Acura brand couple of years ago. Listing the grounds for such affection in this venue would be completely unnecessary due to obvious reasons but I am compelled to admit that while power, reliability, amenities and good customer service very rarely coexist in the same brand; I feel Acura -so far- has managed to fulfill such challenging task.

Few weeks ago I decided to add an MDX to my stable. It’s a 2012 MDX with Tech package, black/black with Sport Running Boards. The MDX & TL seem to have a wonderful time bonding in the garage; unless one of them is out grinding the roads..

Love the MDX. Once the TL-S is mostly paid off I'm getting a fully loaded MDX.

<3 <3 MDX.

They had a certified used one fully loaded at the dealership when I got my TSX. I was so tempted.

But I need manual and the ability to (somewhat) slam. At least while I'm still young and somewhat cool.

When I start poppin out them babiez, HELLO MDX!

So, although this room is extremely biased, you'd all recommend the MDX? I'm looking for an CUV/SUV addition for my lovely companion and wanted to stay true to Acura.

I like the MDX because (IMO) it's the only luxury SUV design that doesn't have soccer mom written all over it.

My only other consideration is Audi Q's.

only a little bit of bias. when i was shopping nothing else really suited me or my tastes (honda, infiniti/nissan, toyota...really couldn't see myself step down into mainstream after being spoiled by my TL). the MDX has it's own unique look and the features like the SHAWD...and a host of other goodies that are as appealing, reliability, sportiness, creature comforts of luxury, and minimal soccer mom image.

I'm not an SUV guy although if I was the 2G MDX would be top of my list.

That's actually exactly what I was looking at as well. The Q5 is beautiful. I love the inside and out but the MDX is a strong competitor.

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks

I would of course pick the MDX, but for much less you can get a fully loaded Lexus.. my sister just did that. She loves it. Anyway, I wouldn't want to cross over to that side. I love Acura.

ALTHOUGH.

My neighbor just bought an explorer. In white. And I never thought I would say this about a Ford but...

"Wow"

No, you shouldn't be surprised. Ford really stepped up their game in the last few years!

Congrats HiRev! A 3G TL and new MDX (with its 5000# tow rating) complement each other nicely & should cover all your needs for years to come. Well done!
