I always had black interior, how is the quartz?
The dealer I am working with, said that they have to move inventory and willing to work with me on the car they have on the lot, wich would be a Satin silver with quartz interior. I wanted the black, so I am asking you guys what do you think? Any preferences either way. Thanks

I am a huge fan of my quartz...I also recommend it over the black because (as people on this site will attest) it shows the wrinkles a lot more, which bothers some

Actually wanted ebony with my anthracite for that cool black look but quartz was the only anthr. on the lot. I'm glad i was compelled into that decision b/c the combo black/gray works very well. The lighter color also adds a more roomy feel, which helps these 'small' sport sedans. Neverhtless, you can't go wrong unless you pick the wood finishes which i think is a little too faux for my taste.
p.s. also used to have black interior on my old maxima (ages well but again too dark)

I love my quartz. I had ebony on my last two TLs and my wife has ebony in her silver MDX. The quartz is much more complementary to the fit and finish of the interior, and it feels much more spacious. Black is cool in its own way, but the quartz is really nice with the black carbon and aluminum trim. The one thing I will say is I wish I had gotten the ebony floor mats because they will hold up better.
If you're getting a navi model, you should be able to get them to give you at least $1000 off if they're trying to move it, and if its a non-navi you may be able to get it for around $500 over MSRP from what I'm seeing lately on here.
Good luck.

I looked at every exterior color (except red - where are they?) and every interior color before placing my order. With the silver trim that is in ALL the interiors, the Quartz is -IMHO -the best looking interior. I have had mine only 3 weeks but I still think it is really sharp.

We've had grey interiors on our BMWs. We picked over their sand (beige) color which we though was a little too yellow.
In the TL, we thought the grey (quartz) was a little muddy. It is a little too dark and a mix of red and blue. Blue-toned greys work best IMHO. Also, there was insufficent contrast between the aluminum trim and the grey. In the black interior the contrast is striking.
So we are choosing between black (ebony) and parchment (light beige).

I waited on a SSM/Quartz after looking at all combinations. The quartz feels roomier, and the two tone effect of the black dash, stack door handles, etc. along with the carbon and aluminum gives the whole car a more modern "stainless" look. I think it is one of the sharpest combos seen in a car. I've gotten a ton of compliments on it. Also, I disagree with David on the BMW gray. The BMW Montana Gray is way too blue and light colored. Gets VERY dirty. The Acura quartz is a much more classy color IMHO>

My four month wait for the TL became a five month wait because I switched from an order w/ ebony interior to one w/ quartz after seeing it in person. In fact, the relative darkness of the TL's gray is exactly what sold it to me. IMO, the darker gray is much warmer, richer, and less sterile than BMW's while still feeling open.

I agonized over the ebony/quartz interior, but ultimately decided on the quartz and am happy with it. My wife isn't crazy about the two tone look with the black upper dash/doors, but I think it will grow on her and besides it's my car.

i have the ssm/quartz and completely happy with the color. i was planning on getting ebony at first... but after looking at the quartz, it looked a little more classier.
