What acura is trying to do is make a turbo charged twin hybrid or something. I forget teh details, but output can be upwards of 400 hp while retaining apprrox 50 mpg

well I dont remember how exactly it works, but when the car is at a still, the battery automatically charges the rear wheels to get extra 20-40 HP to each wheel, Again I dont remember how it works but its something to that effect..
I dont think you will see this technology in the TL, The RL will get it, and MAYBE MAYBE TL 2006-2007 Model.. But Don't count on it, usually low end cars dont get the newest technology until the bugs are fixed and its beta tested.. This technology is not even full proof and not many Japanese cars have them letalone american, so it might be a while, but when it does, IT WILL KICK A$$

A while back Acura was designing a 300HP FWD setup with 100HP AWD electronic motor assist feature. This would provide 100 extra HP at any RPM meaning excellent performance on a 400HP vehicle. On the highway, primarily the electric motor would push the car and this would result in excellent gas mileage (50MPG+). THis was a concept and I hope we see some of these ideas on the road real soon (2005 RL supposed to be AWD).

Is it the mileage or the power everybody wants???
The next powerplant of all cars (standard) i believe will be the hydrogen internal combustion engine with a fuel cell for power while the car is off.
