Hummer H3

Good day all! I traded in my 07 H3 Tactical Edition in April on an 06 TL NBP w/Nav. And I have to say that I am pretty pleased with my purchase. What attracted me to the TL is the sleek style and beautiful interior! I also read the great reviews in Consumer's Reports and I trolled around here for awhile too to see what you all think about your cars.

The H3 was all blacked out - no chrome (Tactical Edition) with 15% tint all of the way around. However, it had no creature comforts at all! No nav (On-Star though), boring dash, no lit vanities for my girl, no leather (upgraded cloth). And I small back seat. But it turned heads in a major way! I was able to take advantage of GM discount and 0% financing to purchase it, but after having 4 Infinitis, I just missed the performance and ammenities of a luxury car.

I don't need to tell you all about your car! I enjoy the acceleration and gas mileage. The gauges/display are just plain gorgeous.

I guess that I just want to say "Hello" and I look forward to getting info from you all. I am not really into mods, but am interested in the Aspec lip/deck package and the blue-lit door seals. Other than that, show me the road!

LOL! I drove over curbs and parking blocks all of the time! It was great during inclement weather, but just a big slow SUV the rest of the year.

Why do you say that? I thought that I would find the H3 useful for tailgating and such, and was interested in changing things up. But I was over that after several months. Besides, I couldn't go anywhere without someone telling me that they saw my Hummer. It didn't blend in very well, at least not here in Indiana.

Good Job

Glad you left that over rated piece if plastic behind. I cant afford a truck but if money was no object i would get the real one an H1 and just get better seats. Glad you got yourself a TL. Hope you enjoy it as much as we all do.

Yeah, it is like gastric bypass surgery! I recently took a trip to Chicago and got 32 miles/gallon! The H3 got 16-17 mpg/highway! Part of my decision on both parts was Consumer Reports! They rated the TL as the best and the H3 as the worst! Look at the consumer reviews of the H3 on kbb.com. People are saying they get 20-23 mpg! What a crock of sh*t! That must be Hummer dealers posting that!

Good choice with the TL. Too bad you couldn't keep the Hummer for whenever you wanted to go 4 wheelin or such. Anyway, your gonna simply love the TL. Welcome to AZ

I second that

Totally....in my opinion and thats all it is.....H1 is the only Hummer worth anything at all.....I dont even know why they bothered making a H3.....what a joke.
Welcome to the forums. Awesome "upgrade" imo.

The H3 may have arresting looks but that's about it. The engine is wimpy for the sheer size of it. It's gas mileage is atrocious. There are other SUVs that are equally useful for tailgating. Basically like some have alluded to, it's a monstrous waste of money. This is all water under the bridge because you've realized that and traded it for something more sensible
