How to (temporarily) remove Ron Jon side skirts?
Hi all,
I have the Ron Jon body kit installed, but the shop I had it installed at screwed up one of my side skirts in two ways. First of all, I'm missing the grill that goes in it, and secondly, the front part of the skirt is not flush with the other body panels (fender), so I have to take out the polyurethane glue they used, and redo it. I also need to remove the whole skirt to put the grill in there (which I received -- thanks Ron).
Could someone tell me how to remove the side skirt? I watched them install it and even helped them clip it into place but it looked to me like there would be absolutely no way to remove it.
I'd really appreciate some tips here.
Thanks all,
Rob

Thanks JPTL-S,
Unfortunately, the stock side skirts are two pieces. So you just slide one forward and the other one backward and it pops off super easily.
The Ron Jon side skirts are one piece and SNAP instead of SLIDE into place. Looks amazing, but also looks impossible to remove. Kinda not good for me.
Anyone else have any ideas?
Thanks.

I have the ronjon kit on my car..a 2004 and silver...it was installed by me and my buddies..it took about 4 hours to do the front and sides and about 1.5 for the back..i did it in 2 days...due to the time we started on the 1st day...its not that hard to install you could try using a skinny flat tip screw driver to pop the clips out but u'd have to be very gentle not to break any of them...jack the car up this way u can see the entire under side or most of the side...well i mean so u'd be able to back end of the side skirt.....it should help more seeing the clips..

Yeah I did pm ron a few times, but it seems he can't help me...
Thanks though Stylez. I watched and helped the installer put the kit on my car... and it just feels like once those clips snap into place, there's no removing them. The other issue is that "jacking up" the car is gonna be tough since I don't have access to a garage. ARGH.
I think I might go back to the installer and have them fix it -- it's their fault in the end. Problem is, they are two hours away. GRR.
Oh well, thanks again for the help.
