heres my prob. when i warm up my car, i notice that the door locks automatically after about a minute. that is why i have to leave at least one window down or else i would lock myself out. i played around with the display unit on the guages, but it only gives me the option of relocking the car after 15, 30, or 90 seconds. there was no option to turn this feature off. am i missing something??

My car only locks itself when I press the unlock button but don't get in the car.
However when I warm up my car with the key inside, it doesn't do that. And It shouldn't do that ??

esp if the car is on, it shouldn't relock.

what is your set time to lock the doors? example: mine is set to lock at like 10mph.

i have my car set also to lock at 10mph, but the next feature is to relock and it gives me the option of 30, 60, or 90 seconds ~ no option for turning this feature off.

these are two different features
1) locking at 10mph
2) relocking after 30, 60, 90 seconds


whats funny is that i had my car for 3 years and i don't remember seeing this feature except for the one locking at 10mph.

does anybody know what i'm talking about?

the relocking is what i believe to be....when you unlock your door, but don't open it, it'll relock.....

your car shouldn't lock itself when the car is running.

mine unlocks at park, re-locks at 10mph and 30 seconds when i don't get in, the minute you open any door it shouldn't re-lock

^ +1 This is how it should work. Once you open the door it doesn't relock.

mine will only NOT LOCK if i open the driver door. if i open any other door and dont open the drivers, it will re-lock.

Your doors shouldn't lock like that. I remember reading something in the manual saying that the locking mechanism is disabled or something of that nature when you open your door with the engine on. But I know that it shouldn't lock on you.

Are you telling us everything? Do you have a remote start installed? This should not happen. It would be a pretty dumb design if a car manufacturer did this.

Either check for a tiny door-locking monster living in your car or take it to the dealer and have them look at it.
