So I just picked up my new (to me) TL, and wanted to know how to let Acura know that I now own the car so if any recalls come out I will receive the info on it.

I just got the car and after driving it today for about 2 hours I noticed some smoke and the bracket that holds the power steering hose on the back of the engine by the fire wall is kinda wet so I am thinking that I need to take it in and have the hose recall performed.

Take it in for service and they will update the computer to show you as owner of said car. Also registering the car with Owner's link will update it as well

all you need to do is bring it to a dealership. They will check your VIN to see if the recall on the hose has been done, if not they will do it for you, try the acura owner link website you can check out all recalls there www.owners.acura.com, good luck!

Check the car manuals. One of the books has a postcard that you can fill out with the car's vin and your address to let them know you own it now. That's what I did with mine

^^^ Yes..i purchase dmy car from a small privately owned dalership.. the week I bought my car, i brought it to an acura dealership and they were able to check all the recalls with the vin on the car.. they did all the recalls the previous owner didnt do and updated me as the new owner..

I am going to try and find a dealer around this area to go to, it has gotten worse through out the day.

Went to the local dealer today and it was a very good experience. The service guy went out of his way to get me a loaner and have my car fixed in the time I had.

He also checked and there was another recall that I was due and he did it was well. Something to do with the wipers.

Wish this dealer was close to me, I would go there for all my repairs.

awesome!! the steering hose and the wiper recalls had to get done on mine also.. when I first bought mine.
