How much psi in the air conditioning system should there be?

I checked at low pressure point of air conditioning system when the temperature outside was 90F. Reading was 42psi. Now per some tables it should be between 45-55 psi. Air conditioning works but IMO could be better. Can or should I add one 12oz can of refrigerant? What are numbers of psi at low pressure point normal for Acura TL 3G?

your best bet is to evacuate the whole system and recharge by weight the proper way rather than try and go by pressures. This allows you to check for any leaks too!

I did read wrong. Table is for when ac compressor work. So when compressor worked it was around 30 psi at 80F. I added one can of R-134 today and now is 35psi. Yesterday I used same can with old charger that suppose to pierce can opening. Now there is at top of can some valve. So basically I stand there with can in hand and charger connected between can and L of system like idiot for 45 min thinking R is goin in system but can wasn't cold and wet. Fond at Walmart page that super tech R can need adapter if is old charger used. At last I'm not alone. At youtube many people complain about same mess. Even with adapter it took like 25 minutes for can to be almost empty. But can was cold and wet in process and it is sign of charger working.

I think I figured out how to know how much refrigerant is in can.
When the can is emptying and the charger is working, the can is cold and wet. If it is not cold and wet, the charger does not work. When the can is half full, only the lower half is cold and wet when it is charging, and so on at a third and a quarter. When it is near the end than the lowest inch of can becomes cool but not cold. Then you can turn it off. Two or three more sprays through the switched off charger and everything was gone. If is can full you cannot hear anything when you shake it. But if is can half or one third full you can hear fluid in it when shaking. If is empty you can hear just a little of fluid in it.

Well as yesterday I added one can successfully and it had impact at colder air blowing I decided add another can of 12 oz today. Before adding first can compressor was on for 4 sec and of for 1 sec and repeat. Didn't watch compressor clutch than AC fan. Obviously ac at min low set. Per table at internet in 90f it should be 45-55 psi and I had 43 psi. But per table in Acura service manual that I checked after it should be 43 psi max at 90f. Start charging with second can and it went to 3/4 empty when I noticed that ac fan stop work. Would stop for 3 sec and try to start for split second and get quiet again. Psi is now 45. I stopped charging and use charger without bottle on it to let some freon out. Of course in proper can in accordance with law. For first 3 second I hear something is coming out but I didn't se any freon mist. But after it I saw for 2 sec freon mist. As Ac fan kick back in I stopped discharging. Was at errand for 1/2 hour and it seem that compressor and ac system work properly. Only it is not any culler than when I did add only one can.
