I assume you're losing altitude during this trip. Do a roundtrip and let us know

Great mileage irregardless.

60 is relatively flat surfaced minus maybe like one hill....but that's about it.

60 is the perfect gas saving speed, what else have you done to increase your mpg? nothing more? =)

Basically go as slow as you can in the tallest gear.

Approx 4pm so there are some cars but not too many. Enough to keep you from going above 70 but still going smooth

Actually the 60 is not downhill, it's mostly flat with an occasional slight incline and decline here and there but nothing dramatic. I think many members local in LA can vouch for that!

My car all stock except of intake resonator delete, K&N lifetime air filter, and mid muffler delete; although I don't think any of those affect power or mpg. It was simply a good day with good weather that the J35 loves honestly the most important thing is how you drive, as you can see I kept a steady average of 59mph. My actual speeds varied from 50-70 but just take it easy on the accelerator pedal

Well 5th gear in my automatic opens up at 37mph... Although I don't think 37mph would yield me high MPG readings. The 5th gear is so tall that 37 or 60mph is only 3-400 difference in cruising rpm I think

I dont want to make another thread just for this, but in addition to the awesome combination of power, mileage, etc. we also get great emissions! ULEV v6 with a 6 speed? sweet.

Just tested today, below average emissions for what I assume are other ULEVs. 7 years old with 72k miles:

I get 29-31 going 75-80. Only thing that doesnt save me money is premium gas.

My trips from Chicago to Detroit always involve a couple hundred miles at 80mph, and I tend to get in that same range typically. No complaints here!

I did alot of fwy this weekend, I expected to see upwards to 29-32 like I did in summer, but it hit the limit at 26mpg even if I was doing a constant 60mph. I guess its the cold weather.

Damn, 38 is crazy high. I just did a round trip to Vegas and managed 30mpg. Normally around town though I get 20 with my lead foot lol
