How much did you pay to get your car tinted?
I've been looking around at some local shops and I've gotten quotes from $150-$300. I just want something to compare with. Please post:
1. How much you paid
2. How dark your tint is (%)
3. Were you satisfied with the job

I paid more than most, but I use a guy who is a perfectionist, with top quality materials and high-end felt in the side windows. Also did a great job on my rear 1/4 windows without removing the glass.
Cost me $305. But at that price he takes his time and just does a fantastic job...very very detail oriented.

I paid $165, but I wouldn't go cheaper than that. Definitely go with the place that impresses you the most with quality and attention to details. Tint is not something that you want to try and save a few extra dollars. The hassle with possible problems later is just not worth your time.

Go with the shop that has high end cars belonging to the owners- ask if they did the tint there!
Ask for TLs they have done- any pics- referances you can call who had the tint more than a year?
Warranty ?
250-350 for a perfect job is normal

$220.
35% sides and rear.
Full coverage on the rear quarter window.
Moleskin on front doors only (This was a mistake. I should have done all 4 doors).

1. $220 out the door
2. 18% Carbon based, non-metallic, lifetime warranty on all but the windshield
3. Love the tint job. Looks kick-ass against the WDP.

I paid $200 at the time of purchase to have Shittown (aka Smithtown) Acura do it when I purchased the car...It was well worth it to have them do it with the felt/moleskin etc since its gotten scratched TWICE now and I've had them pull of the tint and retint entire windows...
I also have warranty to 100k so it's well worth it to have the dealer do it the guy who does the dealer is the same guy who travels around to a lot of the other dealers and car washes, here, locally
1. $200
2. 30%
3. pretty good, except dirt is getting in and causing some small scratches, thus re felting and re tinting

I havn't gotten it done yet, but I will be on Saturday. I got to know the guy after a few meets at his shop and he quoted me 170$, their regular price at 225.
I've had a lot of friends done their cars with him, and I did see one TL, in person(not pictures) who he had just finished and it looked pretty good. Quarter window had one little spot where he was missing, but he said it was a long story, the other guy's fault.

Nice guy, hopefully he'll do a nice job.
