I did at first... then the lights began partially distracting me. At night I prefer it bright yet still dim enough to not annoy/distract me.
Having the setting on the highest bright or 2nd highest if good enough... but 'max' at night is too much.

this.
OP thinks the "max brightness" button will control brightness of the amber sidemarkers/lights on the outside of the car. when in all reality, the "brightness" button only affects the interior dash/nav screen, etc.
2nd poster must not have really read OP's post bc well, yeah...
3rd poster feels the same way i do.

Not so sure about that.
I think he means, "Turn on the parking lights, then hit max bright to compensate for the reduced dash illumination."
Personally, in the mornings & evenings, in past cars, I've liked running parking lights with fog lights before going over to headlights. I don't do it the TL because the Fogs don't illuminate.
If the fogs did illuminate with the parking lights, I'd probably do it pretty often.

it is funny to see all of us interpreting it differently n trying to figure out what the hell OP meant.
"no it means this"
"no it means that"
patiently waiting to see what he REALLY meant.

Unfortunately I can't.
You could always ship your TL here or drive up north and see some Canadian Igloos.

But, I think if you do the DRL-Module-mod then you can have your "fogs" on with your parking lights.
My DRLs have been converted to fogs, which run on an independent switch...
And my lower fogs have been tapped to my parking light, also with an independent switch...

I do it, but with the headlights
I turn my headlights on (minus the fog lights) and have the dash illumination set at max during the day. I do this to use the headlights as daytime running lights. I wish there was an option to have it automatically do this with a light sensor so that I didn't have to alternate between max and normal for day and night time driving.
One positive about using the HID headlights for running lights is that they're not yellow like every other car's (like the 2007 and up TLs).

Burning Brakes
I think the yellow stands our more during the day. Since the color of sunlight is so close to the color of our HIDs. It's hard to see a car during the day with LED DRLS. With HID, I usually see the flicker. I think the yellow is safer myself.
