How many Inches Did You Drop?

I'm thinking about dropping my TL. I'm also thinking about putting in some 19'' rims.
How low can i go without hurting my TL and having a smooth ride just as i do now with Stock springs.

I am dropped about two inches on tein ss. I want to go a little lower but I already scrape my under spoiler pulling into my driveway. I have my dampers set at 9 and 11 and it is just a little stiffer than stock.

I am dropped alittle over 2" on Tein Basics. I have 1 tight finger gap all around on my car. And the ride is very good not rough, or bumpy at all. Don't want to go any lower cause I'm puttin on the aspec kit soon.

I'm dropped about 1" on TEIN S-Tech springs on the stock shocks; I like the stance .. 2" is too low for me.

My rule of thumb: Less gap at the top of the wheel well then the sides. For example...

1.7 to 2.0 is perfect. Ride will always be sacrificed but your gains are in aesthetics and improved cornering.

Here is a pic I posted last night for fun but this is a perfect example. My friend just bought the exact same TL. If you like how the car on the left looks, don't drop. If the pic on the right drives you crazy because it just flows with the car's body lines, then drop it.

Bad stock gap:

Good Tein gap:

I'm dropped 1.75" all the way around:

btw, type-s09, I'm not a big fan of Axis Hiro's, but your ride looks sick!

I'm dropped somthing like ~1.5 rolling on 18" wheels 245/45 18 tires which creates the effect that I am sitting higher than I truly am...

type-s09: That is a beautiful pic! It's going on my desktop! Everyone at work that knows what I drive will be like "your car looks good".
