Seems like there are more than a few anxious people wondering how long they may have to wait to pick up their new TL. This poll may give a good idea.

i placed a deposit at one acura dealership.. said it would take 2-3 months for navi and 6speed (in Anthracitce/Ebony.. they had red/camel on the lot). The next day, a different Acura dealership called me and said someone cancelled their order, for an Anthracite 6MT with Navi... I couldn't believe it. It was already ordered and shipped. Came in 2 days.

2-4 weeks for me. When I ordered one they already had that combo being built at the date I was there, so it was just a simple matter of waiting for it to make the trip from OH to NY.

3.5 months for me. Ordered the car on Nov 22, took delivery on 4/10.

Didn't wait long at all, but then again, I had the VIN of my car, so they couldn't give it to a walk in to close a sale on the spot.

They located mine at another dealer - so there was only a couple days wait for them to bring it over. Each time I find a new problem (which luckily has only been a couple), I kick myself for not demanding a new one be ordered - as this one is an early build from November/December. So it sat around for a few months. So far she seems A-OK tho. My '02 TL was like 2 months I think.

The dealer traded for my car. I had it within 4 days of making my deposit.

I should be picking up my car on Saturday, approx. 18 weeks since I ordered it (it was a 6mt w/Navi).

Like GaleForce, I bought my car from a dealer that had already ordered the vehicle I wanted. I placed my order on 6/4 and was told that the ship date for the car would be 6/9.

I spoke to the salesguy this morning and was told to expect the car to be in within the 6/22-6/24 date range.

My last Honda experience involved ordering a 1998 Accord EX V6 coupe and being told four weeks. Ten weeks later I cancelled and bought my Solara. I worry about this dealer jerking me around, but I *really* hope they're being truthful. I'll let ya'll know in less than two weeks!

So he's given you 2 different ship dates. What about a Build Date and the VIN#. If he gave you 6/22-6/24 ship dates, that would mean car was just built since it takes about 10 days for shipping. He should then have the VIN# for you. and you should make sure you get it.

Left a deposit on Feb. 21 for 6mt w/navi. Was told he would be able to find car in 3 days. Well the short of the long story is I picked it up on April 15.

Seems like the 6MT with nav are the hardest to get.

Actually, the only ship date given was 6/9. The salesguy said that the car should be delivered to the dealership in the 6/22-6/24 range. I wasn't given a build date or VIN.

Would the dealership know the VIN before they have the car? I can always call back and specifically ask for the VIN if necessary.

Okay, understand now. Yes, as soon as it's built they can get the VIN#. Any information you can get on the car, I think, is important. I felt it was a confirmation that the car was coming in and I was getting it. Made me feel more comfortable after waiting so long. I even had them fax me a copy over of my order with the VIN on it.
