looking into buying the type-s new.. might look into selling my car out right. and going for a 08 type-s this winter or early next year (jan/feb). It all depends on how the 4g looks on the road/in person. It would be nice to snatch up a 08 type-s on dec 31st.

And that's at two dealerships. Two at each....... You may want to also look for an 07. They are identical.

You might try Cars.com and see what they've got. That's where I started when I was looking for a TL.

I think you're fine to wait if you don't have any particular color/preferences. Else you better pay a lil extra now and grab the car you want.

Quick search indicates that there are 14 TL-s located within 200 miles of Jacsonville, at least what's listed.

That's a very large area which includes Daytona, Tallahassee, Gainesville, Ocala and Orlando. So 14 is not very many TL-S's.

You need to remember that acura is giving 3.5k marketing support which the dealers are passing on to the customers. That will eventually end and if there is a 08 still sitting on the lot you will work really hard to secure the best deal. When I bought my 08 there were a couple 07's that I located. The price on the 07 was higher then the 08 due to the incentives. I think you will be able to find an 08 in Dec but will it be as a good a deal?

I just checked a few local dealer's inventory and in this area, they already have stock on '09 TL's! Dozens in fact (at least that's what the websites are showing, but in reality they may not yet be on the lots). Bad news is that among the 4 websites I looked at there were on 5 '08 TL-S left in inventory. I'd say if you want a new one you better get moving very soon.
Good luck!

My dealer had 3 on labor day, and I bought 1 and someone else was looking at another.

With the $3500 dealer incentive, most of the '08 TL-Ss will be gone. You might be able to find a base TL at the end of December. If you really want one, you better act quick.

American Honda employees are not able to purchase TLs anymore. It may mean that they are no longer in production.

Good luck finding one!

In my area, there are only 2 Type S left. It depends on where you live, the midwest has been pretty low on TL-S inventory for awhile now. I got mine around the end of July and it was the last Alabaster Silver in the city, mostly carbon bronze left then and not much else.
