How does the champagne / gold color look on the 3rd Gen Acura TL
#41
I had a choice of a silver or the desert mist metallic, I chose the desert mist metallic because there are very few running around........Unlike those rare black and silver colors......lol, Truthfully they are all sweet cars which ever color you go with!!!! The desert mist metallic grew on me and love it even more.

I actually picked DMM because all I ever saw on the road were NBP and WDP. I'm not sure I even knew that the DMM color existed. I've been a car guy for a long time and I can spot potential in just about anything. Not trying to ruffle everybody's feathers, but who wants to see the same car in the same 2 or 3 colors? Desper's car looked great (although I'm not sold on the Ron Jon product line) and is very inspirational. I went saw Ian MacKaye (Fugazi, Minor Threat) speak and he said "New ideas do not have an audience." So sad but so true.

Mine's a DMM and I chose it. I could have had SSM. Handsom-Hustla's pics show one of the best points of DMM--near sundown or under artificial light DMM looks like it's lit from inside. It glows.
DMM probably shows dirt less than any other color, a good thing for those of us who aren't obsessive about washing and waxing, or who, like me, live at the end of a half mile gravel road.
As others have noted, DMM doesn't immediately catch the eye like other colors. Nor does it catch cops' eyes.
Finally, and this is subtle, I live in the midwest. We don't paint our houses in bright, clear colors (except white), not because we don't like bright colors, but because in the muted midwestern sunlight those colors look odd. If I lived in southern California or south Florida I would definitely want RRP, but here the varieties of silver, carbon bronze, and yes, DMM, look better, IMO. WDP and NBP just don't "pop" the way they do under southern sunshine.

Yeah I am feeling that and yeah needs aspec.
You should start a progressive thread in the photo section (if you haven't already). You don't see that many DMM and I would like to see how yours turns out.
