How does this brake quote look? Also, some reasonable alternatives? (Brembo 2005 6MT)

Deciding if I want to just do this myself or have another shop look at it, or just go for it. (I am in Canada, so prices are a bit higher, but this seems very high)

- Front rotors and pads: 575
- Rear Pads, rotors, caliper (seized) - 730

I searched an came up with some reasonable alternatives for the front to do myself:

Centric 125.40062 - front rotors
Wagner MX1049 - Front Pads

I need it all, so I'm wondering if there is a good place to pick up the whole kit. Thanks for your help.

Here is what I used when I did the brakes on my 04' TL 6MT:
Rear
Centric Parts 120.40061 Premium Brake Rotor with E-Coating
Centric 105.0536 Posi-Quiet Ceramic Brake Pad with Shims
Centric Parts 120.40061 Premium Brake Rotor with E-Coating
NAPA Left rear caliper:
NAPA AUTO PARTS
NAPA Right rear caliper:
NAPA AUTO PARTS

Front
Centric 125.40062 Premium Brake Rotor
Brake Pad (RB ET500) - TL (Brembo) FRONT 04-08

The e coating on the centric rotors has held up great, as has the coating on the NAPA calipers. The Racing Brakes front pads are low dust, long life, and work great. Had to go back and edit my part numbers for the front rotors, they have changed since I ordered mine, they are exactly what you have listed. Some quick math in my head and it's less the $500 for all the parts listed.
Good Luck!

Pricey. I replaced the rotors and pads on my Type S for a lot cheaper. I picked up all 4 rotors and pads for around 400 bucks.

Here are the ones I have on my TL
Front: http://www.crossdrilledrotors.ca/pre...ads-60206.html
Rear: http://www.crossdrilledrotors.ca/pre...ads-59368.html

They have a discount promo going on right now with 25% off, I believe the code is XMAS25!

I also use Maxbrakes (they are local here in Toronto) on my CRV, RDX and dads Accord Hybrid. They have been great as well.

Of course installation is extra but its usually around 160 bucks for all 4 rotors and pads and if you need caliper thats extra of course (I would check rockauto or autopartsway.ca)

Whatever you do, get good calipers and pay extra for lifetime warranties. My first experience with this I used Autozone calipers, it seized in less than a year. I flush my brake fluid annually as well.

I'd go for the quality parts. My front rotor hubs are all rusty and shitty looking. No wobble or pulsating, just not visually appealing.

Pay for the good stuff

it's not hard to do, just the PITA rotors screws

i did mine 16 months ago with Autozone parts. 55K miles later, still running strong cost about 350
