That's incorrect. The finance manager will shop around to get you the best rate. Let's say he/she is able to get 4%. If he/she can sell it to you for 5.9%, they just made that spread.

Similar to how a mortgage broker sells you a loan @ 6.5% but they can get it for 5.95%.

Thats where I bought my 07 TL-S because they gave me a deal $2k

better then Libertyville Acura. I always get auto loans @ Abbott Labs

credit union. They beat all the dealers.

The sales guy was great when I bought my 2000 TL. The finance guy was not too sharp. He tried to sell me a $2500 extended warranty. When I told him I was financing through my credit union, he looked sad then pissed. Good news is he got me out of there in record time!

Just in case, I don't work for them or get any kick backs. Just sharing info.
That's good that you have good experiences. Almost every person who buys their car from the dealer gets a discount from them. That is nothing new. I tend to not use dealers anyway for service unless the warranty requires it. I like doing the work myself.

Since it's been 8 years since you bought a car from them, a lot could have changed.

But, if this ever happened to me, they would never get my business.

LOL. I would have loved to see that. Dealer would have lost in court in a heart beat with a contract signed like that.
