Wow, it that actually sells for that amount I may have to sell my A-spec badge. I'm debadged so it's just sitting in a box. Although Steven would probably kill me if I didn't give him first chance at it. Too bad I don't want to sell it right now.

Yea, I'm thinking it'll be at least $150. He has make an offer as an option, so I'm not sure we'll actually know the selling price tho...

How hard would it be to have a couple thousand of these made in China? Just flood the damn market with $5 badges.

Nope, they're "out of print". Put it up on the Black Market if you don't want to put it on your car.

Is anyone willing to measure one of these badges fairly accurately?

I'd like to try and make out of aluminum.

It appears to be a rectangle with rounded corners, a flat face, and chamfered edges?

I whipped up the graphic with a few assumptions. I'll make one tomorrow and see what it looks like.

Comparing with some photos, it looks like the chamfer is a bit on the heavy side, but thats easy to fix. The cutter radius is a bit more of a limitation than I assumed, but I need some new endmills anyways. I've been meaning to try out some smaller ones.

The chamfer on the text does not currently correct for the tool radius, ignore that.

Is this basically what these things are? Anyone even have a rough measurement across?

This is a rough version without chamfered edges, and of course no polishing. Might be a bit thick at .240". This one is 5.500" wide and .220" high with .100 corner radius. The text is pocketed .055 deep, and could easily be filled with paint after polishing. These dimensions are just guesstimates, of course. I don't have a real one to measure.

I need to optimize the toolpaths a bit before I can make something more finished, and ran out of spare time. Dimensions would help.

I made a bit more finished one at lunch today.

I really didn't plan on making more than one. They'd be expensive.

I would be willing to help you and the community out with this. I do have an OEM Emblem... If you would like I would be able to go and take some measurements for you. I know that you are a NY guy so with that being said, If you wanted to meet up and take a look for yourself to get precise measurements then I could help out that way too.
