Honda V10 engine

I just read that Honda is developing a V10 engine for the acura NSX in the next three to four years at cars.com

This can only mean a V8 will soon be in the picture for other models such as the rl and tl.

In the article, it states that Honda avoided going beyond the V6 engine because it was an environmental friendly company. Honda says they will design the V10 engine with reduced emissions.

I think they just got smart and saw the writing on the wall. To compete you must have a V8 like other car companies.

I thought Honda had already terminated plans for an NSX replacement.

sebring,

I went back and reread the article, and you're right about the nsx being discontinued. They will install the new v10 engine for the nsx successor in three to four years.

No worries. There are plenty of interesting products coming out of Honda/Acura to keep things interesting in the meantime.

A Honda V-10 plan should not be a huge surprise, given their involvement in F1 as the engine supplier to the BAR team.
