HID (looking) DRL's

Driving to work today I passed a 3G TL and in my mirror I noticed that his DRL's were the color of the factory HID headlights. Any idea how he did this, mine are ugly yellow color.

Do you have an 07-08? Where are you located? Maybe it was me

Anyways, the only option with the 07-08's as far as I know right now are LED's and the only way to do that sucessfully is with a DRL harness from V-LED's. Please see this thread:

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/drl-upgrade-kit-v-leds-696284/

EDIT: NM, I see you live in MA. The other thing it might have been is if someone with an 04-06 did the fogs as DRL's mod.

Rodney, hopefully you dont mean put HID's in place of the 9006 5w DRL without doing a full HID projector retrofit. The heat from these kits have DESTROYED some people's headlights when they attempted this with the 07-08 headlights because the plastic decorative "ring" cant take the head and melt within 10 minutes with the HID's on.

JnC will tell you of this as well

OP, what you probably saw was a 2-3 watt white LED replacement bulb in there.
