HID HEadlight

08 TLs already come with HID lights. All you have to do is change the bulb if you want a different colored light output. Raising the Kelvin of the bulb generally gives you less light output and more of a purplish hue.

Anything above 5k will get you "blue-ish tint". YOu will lose some lumen and it actually harder to see(bad for your eyes) in blue. 4.3K is the best(stock, correct me if I am wrong) and is used by most car manufacturers. I always wanted to have 3k (true yellow) but it is probably a cop attraction. The blue/purple tint is coming from the cutoff, you can take the projector out and do a washer mod or something. I am sure someone has done cutoff mod on this board. (I am still new)

my old car had 8000k and 10000k bulbs in it, and honestly, 10000k looked great but it was pretty damn scary going around a sharp turn that you didnt know. and 8000k is almost the same but not as bad. i will never go higher for the headlights... but fogs is a different story, i just bought 8000k kit for those

I changed my 4300k to 8000k, because my vendor didn't have the 6000k I wanted. Doing a swap to 6k soon though. Simply look for d2s bulbs, my vendor sells them now for $50 with a 1-2 year warranty, and usually after that he'll still hook you up with discounts.
