HID fog lights

so ive searched the forums and found nothing.
I recently purchased a HID kit for my fog lights. When i installed them the lights flicker for a second or two then turn off. I then try to turn the fog lights on by switching the fog light switch on and off and still it just flickers and turns of. Since i dont know whats going on with these things i just put the stock oem bulbs back in and it still works.
Maybe i need resistors? relay harness? iunno whats going on

thanks

bad ballasts or bulbs
HIDs dont need resistors. relay harnesses help stabilize the voltage but is not necessary for this car at all.

what brand is this HID kit? If it's Xentec it's pretty much trash.

same thing with me on my tsx

mine is a morimoto kit, both would flicker and die and would take maybe 10 attempts to get them ignited.

They sent me 2 new bulbs, and now one works fine and the other dies.
They're sending me another bulb, hoping that cures the issue.

This is what happens when one buys junk HID plug and play kits.

My first thought would have been that they need a harness, but paperboy says thats not it. So then the only thing it could be is bad bulbs or ballasts.

I have DDMTuning HID fogs, but i also have the $7 ebay harness which works perfectly.. Make sure your grounds are connected to a bare metal and not paint.

As MVP2765 said its best to use the HID harness for HID Fogs. You have to remember your HID Fogs will be using up more power than the regular halogen bulbs and this Harness lets your HID Frogs get direct power from your battery insuring they get the correct amount. This harness also comes with a relay and a fuse to give you more added protection. If you guys are having issues I would do this after check all Your fuse and ground leads
