Help, are TL's built 50 state legal w/emissions?
Looking to buy a 05-06 TL but would like some information regarding the emissions for the car in California. Found a car from a different state but need to know if its 50 state legal with Ca emissions. DMV website shows what the emissions sticker should state but I don't know anyone outside of Cali. Any help would be appreciated.

i emailed someone selling a tl out of state to have him check the emissions sticker to see if its 50 state legal. the car im interested in is owned by some girl and she says she has no clue where or how to check...

it should be fine.
My car is from Vegas, but when i brought it back to cali it passed the emissions test.
You'll need to get it smog checked before being able to register it.

Don't mater if its a Federal or California you wont have any problems at all. A few years ago the C.A. DMV would charge you 300 for Federal Emissions vehicles but they changed that and have to return money back to people with interest. The only ones you have to worry about is CANADIAN models. Were you located I actually do smog testing bring it by my shop I'll smog it for you.
