Help needed

I am going to meet with a dealer tomorrow about purchasing a new TL. I meet with them before and they said that the best that they could do was 33,800. I am looking at a automatic non/ navi. My credit union had me call a car broker and they said that they could get me one for 32,000 but they would only give 11,500 for my 98 Lexus(68,000 miles). I decided that I would try to sell my car on the streets for 15,000. I have had no luck at all, not even a phone call.
Here where I need the help. The dealer called me to see if I was still in the market. I told them that yes I was still in the market but that I had a better offer. I don't know if I made a mistake but I told her my offer. I also told her that the only reason that I didn't get the car is because of the offer for my Lexus. She replied that she would like me to come in and that they are offering top dollar for used cars.
When I go in tomorrow what should I be looking for. Thanks in advance.

Peace

I can't comment on the pricing in CA, but here in NY non-navs are being discounted anywhere from $1000 to $2,500 off MSRP. Personally, I'd settle on the price of the TL before you start negotiating your trade-in value.

Soljc is right. Deny the trade through the whole deal until you settle on a fair price. I got $1500 off MSRP. Then, ask for wholesale book on your Lexus. This is as about as good as you are going to get on the trade after holding firm on the new car price.

Also, don't be afraid to walk out, although that may backfire with this car since it is in high demand. Don't let them play games, tell the salesman what you want within reason, and if he doesn't get there the first time, tell him if he wants to get exactly to where you need to be to give you a call on your cell phone. Leave your number and walk out.
