So as the caption states, I was the unfortunate victim of a recent accident in my 06 WDP 6sp Aspec kitted vehicle and so now, I'm looking for it's long lost brother.

I've been a long time member, seldom poster but I'm hoping that the Acurazine family can provide me some assistance. As I stated earlier, I'm looking for preferably a 07 or 08 WDP, KBP 6spd (no accidents, smoking) with around 80k or less miles. I'm willing to travel for the right specimen. I've been looking exhaustively on Autotrader, cars.com, craigslist, etc. to no avail.

I recognize that I'm literally looking for a needle in a haystack and I'm willing to fairly compensate the party who is selling the fair retail (not wholesale) value for a clean representative. Let me know!! Please!

Sounds like your already looking in all the right spots, but a manual Type S is not easy to come by so it will take time. I know it's hard but you just have to be patient. It took me 5 years and 6 TL's before I finally found "the one" lol. Good luck :-)

Thanks for the kind words!! I've been reading up lately on the Type S and I believe I saw one of your posts where you previously had a KBP with tan interior. I believe many people like the two tone but I really liked your car. Reminded me of a LeMans Blue BMW 330 I owned back in the day. I bought it just because of the color as I was looking at 5 series at the time and then found out that my wife and I were expecting our first child.

Seems like forever ago.

Look at least daily on those sites you listed. They are not that hard to find as long as you don't get too picky.

I waited ~6 months for a WDP TL-S 6MT to pop up with Taupe interior. In that time around half a dozen showed up with the Black/Silver interior. They were all in fairly good condition with generally reasonable miles. I left my cars.com alert set up and since I purchased my TL over a year ago only one WDP TL-S 6MT showed up since with Taupe interior. If you're willing to go with KBP or WDP 6MT with any interior color, they are no problem to find in 6MT. You just need to keep an eye out on those sites you listed and be willing to put a deposit down the day it shows up. In my experience the WDP 6MT's are harder to find. Supposedly they sold better, so more might exist, but that likely also means they sell faster. KBP were easier to find when I was looking.

I just took a quick peek, and Cars.com has 2 KBP and 1 WDP TL-S 6MT's listed. The WDP is Ebony/Silver, the KBP's are one of each.

You need to expand you search past 50 miles. It's not going to happen in a reasonable time frame unless you're willing to drive hundreds of miles. I was searching 'Any' miles. You probably should too, only a few 07-08 TL Manual's show up, take a peek even if its really far away and get an idea of whats typical. Usually a small handful are on there at any given time.

^Agreed. I drove 200 miles one way to get the TL-S that met my requirements.
