Heel Toe Gas Pedals from Utlimatepedals.com?
Have any of you AZiners ordered and installed these pedals from Ultimatepedals.com?
I'd really like to get the hang of "heel/toe" shifting, however, the problem I'm encountering is that my feet are two narrow to control both the brake and gas pedal simultaneously (with the edges of my feet).
I've tried to actual "heel/toe" the pedals, using my heel on the gas and my toe on the pedal, but this position feels awkward and not natural at all.
Ideally, I'd like to brake with the left edge of my foot and blip the throttle with the right edge of my foot. The current pedal setup does not allow me to do this with any modicum of proficiency,
I came across the Heel Toe Gas Pedals from Ultimatepedals.com and wondered if any of you have tried these out with any success. It's essentially a gas pedal with an extension of the left side for better side-side action. Does it allow for easier side-side "heel toe" shifting?
If not, does anyone have any advice for someone trying to practice this maneuver with narrow feet?
I'm looking at adding this as my first mod. After reading this forum since I got my TL roughly 1-1/2 months ago, I suspect that I've been infected with the mod bug. I just need a garage now.
Insight and experiences would be helpful.

I'm pretty sure you use your heel and your toe, not the side of your foot.

in the old days you used actual heel and toe because the trans had no synchros for downshifting and the strange footbox of certain brit cars of the time
Now you use the edge of right foot to blip rpm to whats needed for downshift even though we have synchros, you want to be on the correct rpm to launch off the apex
Newer TL-s have a built in throttle blip.. from what I understand
to do it right for todays cars- brake heavily with 3/4 of foot on pedal- that puts the pedal at same level as gas pedal at max braking, roll right edge of foot to edge of gas and blip while still under braking
Your Heel is the pivot for your foot to roll
find a Track Day school at any race track near you- $250 bucks for a day of full throttle full braking fun with a pro race driver riding shotgun in your car to help you improve with every corner
They will teach proper downshift in your car as part of it
Way more fun that you should be allowed to have, but you dont have to go flat out if you dont want to, the noob group runs full throttle straights but 70% of max effort in the turns,,want everyone to go home with car intact~

So nobody has installed or used one of these?

if we had this problem on the race car, - we drilled a hole thru the pedal and bolted on a piece similar to the fancy metal one, which probalby has a bar on the back with 2 screws
Like the old Giant right foot you see in jetboats or 70s vans

Aight. I might just have to give this one a shot. This will be my first mod. I've had my TL for roughly a month and a half, and I really wasn't planning to modify it, but after reading the posts on this forum on a daily basis, I'm having a hard time resisting. Just wish I had a garage...
I'm actually a bit surprised that so few people on this forum are familiar with heel toe shifting techniques.

claybar with wash and wax is a good first mod- makes car look new and surface really smooth and clean

invest in a track day with the TL- about 200-250 bucks for your car on track with a pro race driver as your in car coach!
and read the owner manual- the traction and abs systems of the TL are complex and will try to outdrive you in certain situations- good to know in advance when those are!
Its ready for brake fluid flush based on age- makes a big differance in pedal firmness and good braking
register with acura care by VIN and ck if recalls completed 1-800-382-2238x5
