Headlight Help

Hey Guys, I got a 2006 TL and got a set of clear black headlights and the ballast are to small of the set that I have. So the only ways to get this problem fixed is to buy 2 2004-2005 ballasts or get a 2007-2008 headlight set. So I'm going with plan B and getting the 2007 headlights but now there is another problem, the seller said that I need to get 1157 light bulb sockets and 9005 for the DRL. My 2006 has 7443 light bulbs and 9006 for the DRL. So I went to Acura and got some 1157 sockets and now they don't connect to the car wiring. Need help!

Uhhhhh, help me understand something here.
Why would you get two whole headlights instead of two ballasts?

The information you were told was correct. The 07-08 headlights use the smaller 1157 bulbs. You would need to solder each individual wire (ground, parking, turn) to the wires from your car.

Hey Brian.
I'm going to send the first set back and get the 2007 set. what do you mean solder the wires? Will I need to solder them to the wire connector that connects to the socket?

Here are the different sockets (left one is the 1157 and right one is 7443)

OEM Type S headlights require you to have the 1157 bulb socket, if you get the 07-08 base you're not going to have to switch the sockets.. All you need to do is cut your 7443 bulb socket off solder the 1157 socket to your existing wires and your set there. 07-08 have smaller ballasts then the 04-06.

The 1157 socket doesnt have any wires, are you saying to solder the existing wires to the pins inside the socket? I would love to find a 1157 connector(the one that has the wires going to it) then I would solder it to my car's wiring.
