Head & Taillight overlays in MD

Anyone been hassled for this in MD? Anyone have an opinion on safety concerning charcoal colored overlays for either headlights or tails?

I am getting my tints done at Driven Dynamics tomorrow and wondering if I should do the overlays too... I love the look especially in a black on black car.

i peronally think they look horrific.... the corners always peel with the overlays and they dont stick 100%...the spray tint is the way to go if ur gonna do it right. but whats the point of having HIDs in the car if ur gonna spray or overlay?

You could do a semi overlay on the headlights like a few here have and have no HID light loss.

I did it on mine and thay have been through 2 winters and we get 100F heat up here and no peeling ..

I used the RockBlocker film.

Hey jess, I was considering those for my Type S. Any negatives about them??? Do they really block output from the headlights? Now that they are on your car, how do you like them?

No blocking .. they don'y cover the HID part.

When I made the pattern I got the curve I wanted then at nite I laid the pattern over the headlight and kept sliding it untill in interupted the light pattern at the side, then stopped and went back just a bit.

No negatives .. as dark as they are the signal lights are still very visable and meet the DOT requirements up here.
