Head light question

I drove my new tl at night for the first time. My question is...on low beam do you think the beam of lighting goes out far enough in front? I dont mind the line of light, its was similar on my lexus, but it seems like the line of light should go out farther to me.

mine's fine. yours may be aimed low, so it's worth visiting the dealer if it's bothering you. low visibility is a safety issue, so i'd get the dealer to check it out asap. just make sure you don't aim it too high, as these projector HIDs can blind the oncoming traffic.

auto leveling is not available on TL's. auto leveling basically does what it says.... it'll level th headlight to the "correct" height, depending on how much load you have in the front/rear. i'd much rather have a manual one, if at all.

I just picked up my TL yesterday and I found it weird driving with the HID's. I came from an Integra and I'm not used to the cutoff of the HID's. The light they throw off is awesome though. My parents have a 99 TL and the ligths on my car are so much brighter. I happen to be driving on a hilly road and found when I come down on a hill it doensn't project out far enough. I found myself flipping the high beams on and off.

Whats really depressing is that the headlights dont turn. Whenever I am on a windy road I can see how usefull that would be.

Called the dealer and they said when i bring it in they will have a tech check the factory setting. Had to see if they could set it higher. What i want to know from you guys is do you think the low beam lights go far enough ahead of you to see road far enough ahead of you? Not talking about the line it makes.

I am starting to wonder if my dims are too high. I can see good but alot of cars "bright lights me" as if I have them on bright. I very seldom use bright lights.

all projector hids have a sharp cut off.....

coming from an s2k, the tl's cut off was much better...the s2k being so low, you could not see over any hill....

the 2g tl (before the refresh) hids are the brightest i have had so far....but the projecters are a more focused stronger beam....and they are much cooler

You're gonna get that no matter what. I get that from time to time as well.
