have you resurfaced your flywheel? can it be done?
im looking to buy a flywheel off of a member.
I need to know if it can be resurfaced, as i recall, the 03 cl-s was a dual mass flywheel that could not be resurfaced. is this still the case with the 3rd gen?
lastly, who has done this? and how many miles before the service was performed?
Thanks,
phee

Normally the dual mass flywheel is a throw away item, especially if it has many, many, miles, similar to clutch wear. If relatively low mileage, normal wear, just rough the surface up and it would be good to go. They really don't recommend resurfacing, but it has been done. I would think to resurface, it should be dismantled to make certain correct tolerances are met, and then the problem with rebuilding begins.
At least BTT and maybe someone else will chime in with more experience.
