with all this talk about everyone racing G35's, i have yet to race one on the street

 

Really? I'm surprised. The G race probably won't happen anytime soon anyway, the kid got a DUI. lol. But, my boy might be picking up a 03-04 CTS. I have no idea how those are, wonder if he could pull me.. Anyways, got another kill tonight on the freeway. Good time.

Kill: Current Gen. BMW 525i

Stock: Idk.
- All I saw was rims and tires. lol

- Rolling at about 65 on the freeway and I notice highbeams and a right side blinker in my left side mirror. I pull left into his lane assuming he wants to jump (right) into mine. He turns his high beams on completely and then pulls up next to me and gives me some wack stare. lol

- I got behind after he pulled up a little and tried to switch over 1 lane to right and he decided to switch with me, essentially cutting me off. So I said "F*ck it." I pulled up next to him and dropped it into 3rd gear, 70mph/~4000rpm and he just looked at me, revved, and took off. I thought about it for a second and said to myself "whatever". He got about 3 cars ahead, turned his hazards on, and slowed down to get next to me again.

- He puts down his window and gives me the finger and starts laughing at my car (I think), and all I did was wave back to him and laugh like I didn't know what was going on.

- I'm still in 3rd at the same speed/rpm range and this time when he takes off, I'm right there with him.

- I'm driving next to him windows up and his windows are done. I just look over start laughing and wave again lol. Then I smash it and I'm gone.

- I slowed down again and the guy just pulled up next to me and looked at me, and then proceeded to drive off. lol poor guy, I might have ruined his "Bimmer Pride".

*Really surprised at the performance of the 525i.

Gonna' do a friendly run with my buddy in the Lancer GTS this friday. I'll see if I can get a video. That "super" solara and some other dude w/ a celica might be in on in too. Hey, more money in my pocket, right?

 

i really need to take my car to the track.
i've ran a few 1st gen G's on the street and my kills/deaths were by no more than one or 2 car lengths fairly close and intense races. I've ran one 07 G sedan with the HR engine and it wasn't even close

 

you should kill all 3 unless that super solara is packin some searious heat under the hood.

Funny you say this, I have never once encountered a CL/TL/TL-S (all gens) try to race me. However, I did have this older NSX try to race me yesterday

 

Same here. Although i do have a friend that has one, but he's a MT and drives pretty good so i know i'd get my ass handed to me.

That would be a good race,i'd give SSAV6 the edge though. It's always fun running AV6's which are very close in performance to the TL. I'm gonna have another friendly run with my buddy after he gets a few more mods done and i get crackin on modding the TL. As for the 6speed accord i have yet to run one although im sure i'd get my ass handed to me

 

I think we would be a great race. I have yet to run a 3rd gen TL but I have run a stock 2nd gen TL-S and was able to edge it out. Definantly fun racing cars that are close in performance.

funny story about the last bimmer that came up to me on the highway...i was cruisin around 60 down the highway, black 03 325i coupe pulls up next to me and and STAYS there...i look over because i hate this more than anything, and the guy(early 20's like me) just smiles and shakes his head. now im in 6th and i see him look foreword and downshift. he pulls hard as expected. i give him 2 sec then double pump down to 3rd and fly right by him. he must have been watching me cause he also downshifted and started to pull with in 2 cars. I shifted to fourth and was GONE! I hit 120 and didnt stop, shifted to 5th got all the way to 145 and FINALLY let off when he was prolly 20 busses behind...i slowed back down to 60 and he just flew by me. i rolled down my window and stuck my arm out and waved as he passed by me like a wanna be bad ass....i giggled and just contined on....GOD I LOVE MY CAR! No mods(yet...nitrous will happen) stock 04 TL 6speed!

TLDR- smoked a 03 325i coupe driven by a cocky over compensating tough guy!

 

Sounds familiar! I just had the same encounter with a newer 325i with the same results. We raced back & forth through cars on I-90 and 53 for about 15 miles on a nice sunny early afternoon. It was fun to say the least.

 

well you should easily beat the 328i cuz i recently raced my friend with an 05 330 and i pulled around 3 car lengths on him and i have an auto 04 tl with some bolt ons. you should also be able to take the 06 altima 2.5 cuz i raced an 08 altima 3.5 6spd and it was pretty even till maybe 40-50 and he won be half a car length.

Solara AT: Stock - Never wants to race me. So, Forfeit.
G35 5AT: Stock - Idiot got expelled for having thizz in his car in the parking lot. His dad sold his car so, forfeit I guess..?
328i 5MT: I/E, Stage 2 or 3 Reflash - Beat him 3 times from a role. He wants to do it from a dig sometime. I'm down, I guess.

*Losses:
Corvette (04-05?): Unknown mods - lol obvious loss. We did it for shits and giggles. Out of 5 times: I won once...cause I kept going, lol! jk hahaha
Pontiac GTO (04) 5.7L: Unknown mods - We did it from a roll of about 50. I was with him until 4th gear, then the infamous "4th gear lag" kicked in and pulled a couple of cars on me in a second!

I'm having a lot of fun so far. lol. I painted my stock rims "Graphite" today using Dupli-color rim paint. The only problem is, I thought they were going to be darker. Should've done 'em black instead . Ahh well. Hopefully I'll get around to painting my center cap "A"s red. Bloody murder look. hahaha.

P.S. - Just incase you didn't know, I fXcking hate that god damned 4th gear lag.

 

So, you beat a car that's down at least 30 horsepower on you, and lost to two cars packing more than 150 horsepower more than you.

 

Basically, yes haha. He asked for it, I gave it to him and got a free tank of gas for it. And as for the losses, yeah haha. I just have fun with it man, I knew I'd lose but when there's no one around and the road is long, straight, and empty; why not do it?

 

Uhh...lol. Not getting any action lately.

 

Had a 6th gen accord run up on me today, literally saw him weaving through lanes behind me so I gave it a little gas and he gave it a lot. We lined up at a light and I wasn't paying attention and he got the jump on me, I reeled him in slowly. I mean REAL SLOWLY. I had him by the top of 2nd gear. I have no idea why, but I guess a win's a win and he had it coming to him. lol.

In other news, had two interviews today, got one on wednesday, and one on thursday. Hopfully, I get a job so I can start paying this car off and sell it ASAP!

 

Nice kill. The 6th gen accord V6 is a high 15 low 16 second vehicle at best.

 

The only 6Gs worthy of note would be an AV6 w/J32 swap OR an F23A w/forced induction.....both of which are few and far between.

 

He sure did launch on me though. lol
