Has anyone use Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5W-20 ?

I noticed that mobil has a new product (Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5W-20) and was wondering if anyone here has used it already and their opinion on it, is it worth it? walmart is selling it for 6.99 the quart

I think I used it once. I normally pick up whatever Mobil 1 5W-20 or 0W20 that Wal-Mart has on sale. Does not matter much to me since I still change it when the MID tells me to.

You need to realize, that most filters I have seen are only good for 5k/7500 miles. You need to change the filter, so might as well just change the oil too

the mobil1 high mileage `fully synthetic` is the old mobil1. the good stuff
They changed the regular mobil 1 base formula ( a change in govt rules I believe)
but kept the same name~...then renamed the original product

Oil makers know car makers say 7500 miles- so the special additives in oil are designed to last about 8000 miles and break down-
plus the filters abilty to capture crud....
With 10% ethanol in gas now- combustion byproduct is greatly increased from when acura designed these cars and systems
