Has Any 4G Driver Rubbed It In Your Face (3G Owners)
So I'm in the parking lot at a local BestBuy in Toronto the other day.
I own an 06 TL RBP. My friend owns a white IS250 AWD.
Anyways we just got out of the store and were chatting.
I see this guy park on the opposite side of me.
you can see the diagram below (Crappy I know). He parked in spot 1. my friend was in 2 and I'm in 3. I reverse parked my car in and so did he so our cars are facing each other.
He had a black 4G TL FWD Tech (i could tell cause he pressed the button on the door when he got out of car and walked into store).

Anyways, my friend and I are still talking and the guy just finished buying something from the store and came back outside...My friend and I are still chatting and the guy gets into his car and turns it on.
It was 10 minutes or so from the moment he turned on his car to when my friend and I got into each other's cars to go to dinner.
Then as I am ready to leave (put down my parking brake so my DRLs turn on) and pull forward a little he decides to cut me off and leave first (both turned in the same direction towards parking lot exit).
WTF is that?
I honestly do not think he was fidgeting in his car or whatever and suddenly coincidentally decided to pull out at the exact moment I was pulling out.
Why do some drivers gotta show up their newer models like that?
Ok if it was like some R8 then fine ok whatever...but an Acura to an Acura? we're all in the same family!
Anyways.... has this ever happened to any of you 3G owner?

I'll believe its more of a coincedence that you guys pulled out of the spot at the same time vs him trying to show off.
Why would anyone attempt to do that and risk damaging their car.

just know that he has one of the worst re-designs in the history of cars. He was probably calling Acura Customer Care asking to speak to the lead designer when he saw your tight 3G

I was in the Scaroborough Towne Centre area Bestbuy where people are probably more aggressive.
The road was pretty big, and I released my handbrake then my DRLs came on then I shifted to D and inched forward slowly after about 2 seconds.
Enough time for him to cut me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that B*&^#
Neh no coincidence.....I don't think it was.

Probably a combo. Natural DH, thinks his newer car is better so what better way to communicate this than cutting someone off. I'm not going to say it for sure had anything to do with the car they were driving, but I've seen some pretty retarded things before.

it might be a "coincidence" that it happened like that because it's dangerous for trying to pull a stunt like that, especially in a parking lot!

TML-don't worry about idiots like that. The Douche is probably on the 4G Community, trying to brag-but I'm sure no one is buy his story. Besides it sounds like he has a bad case of the SD Syndrome anyway.
I have only seen a few 4Gs on the road, and I usually smirk with pity as they go by.

I fail to see how this has anything to do with a 4G vs 3G complex. More just a matter of coincidence mixed in with maybe an inattentive driver (him).
On another yet related note, have you ever driven past a 2G TL and felt that you were better in your 3G? Just saying..
I don't know why there is a need for any complex between gen owners. We own the same car - Acura TL.

I have driven past 2G TLs but never felt I was better than them. Did I feel my car was better than theirs? A little but that's a given fact with all newer car models.... I still stare at 2G TL Type S's...they are well designed.
But I don't speed up and cut them off or do anything stupid to signify that I'm better than them etc... not like that Fag Bag.

depends on the girls.... my girl says my 3g is sexy because of the mods but wouldnt take it over the 4g if both models were stock on the stealership floor.
plus i took a massive shit on a 4G SH a few months ago. Driving on the highway dude pulls up sweats the looks of the 3g for a sec and smashes his gas.....i let him ride out his gears and i kept cruising....... as soon as i saw a good stretch for us to take fairly.... i said ehh im out..... revved, dropped to 3rd, opened it up and let him realize what i wanted and then i let em have it. we started at about 50mph i didnt let out til 120 and he was still trying to catch up...best part is.... sore losers always win right? so the jerk off kept pressing his gas as i let off, blows past me giving me the "look" as if he won and his car is the best thing since the ford model t.... anyway.... i kept it cool and cruising at about 70-80 as he blew past me.... not even a mile up the road....guess whos pulled over trying to explain to the cop y he was going over 100. I love the 3g lol

Never had A 4G owner try anything with me. Infact I don't see too many of them on the road. Maybe 3 or 4 since the car was released. If they put a new front and back on the car, it wouldn't be so bad, but the grille and rear bumper are just horrible. Horrible enough for me not to ever want one. If I ever encounter a nasty concieded 4G owner, I'm just going to ask them if they can show me the title, because mine is bought and paid for, and I did it in 2 years and 3 months.

Well, if you have a 3g TL-S, it's still faster than any 4g out there. That and, seeing as I drive around the Washington DC beltway every day, am amazed at how few 4g TL's are on the road. So yes, Acura screwed up the design bad enough that they're definitely not selling enough of them, at least not in this area. Ever see a beaver with Down's Syndrome? It's the new Acura TL.

I would never consider buying 4G... And even though I love my 3G TL-S, can't find love on the current Acura's design language...
I like them to keep loosing business to realize to get rid of their designers and engineers.... FUGLY design and OUTDATED engine technology...

I have a 3G TL-S and love the look. Never experienced a situation like you had with a 4G though. Either way, I'm so glad I didn't wait for the new models...not feeling the 4G at all.
