I don't care about color too much...just no beige and no white

you can ask the dealer to do a search. i'm sure there's plenty out there, especially if you aren't picky about the exterior color. ask them for a list of available cars, and take your pick.

unfortunately there was no WDP anywhere in the US. If only they would allow me to customize the interior color...

The local dealer is telling me that if I don't buy the beige one he has today, it will be months before there is another one. Whatever....

That's the least produced combination, hence the long wait. And the rarer the color combo, the longer the wait.

Mine took 3 months from order to delivery last year.

TO CLEAR THE AIR,
WE ARE ON A TURN AND BURN PROGRAM,MEANS SELL SELL SELL
SO WE NEVER ORDER SIX SPEEDS CAUSE 99.9% OF PEOPLE WANT IT IN AUTO
SO THE LONGER WE SIT ON ONE LONGER IT TAKES TO GET MORE,
I AM THE DEALER AND SECOND LARGEST IN LOS ANGELES AREA
AS OF TODAY THERE ARE 37 IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA ON DEALERS LOTS RIGHT NOW,THATS NOT MANY,JUST RAN LOCATE
THAT COMES OUT TO BE LESS THE 1/2 OF A CAR PER DEALER
AND I HAVE 30+ TL ON MY LOT RIGHT NOW AND I DONT HAVE ANY OR ORDER THEM
WE ALSO PRE ORDER ALL INVENTORY 3 MONTHS IN ADVANCE,THATS WHY IT THATS FOUR MONTHS TO GET ONE,
HOPES THIS HELPS YOU GUYS OUT THERE

As I write this, I just did a search at the store where I bought my TL. They currently are showing 152 2005 TL's, 21 are manuals without Nav and 11 are manuals with Nav.

I should add that the day I bought my TL (a 2004 Anthracite/Ebony/6MT/Nav), there were two other identical cars on the lot and a number of other manuals, most of which were Nav.

Manual transmissions in sport sedans are rather popular in my neck of the woods.

Your first sentense doesn't match your second. If you don't care about color, then beige and white isn't a color?

I've Got Two '05's

Yes, you have to be patient and you have to have a dealer that will work with you and search for the car you want. Many will work out trades with other dealers or arrange trucking for you when you find one even out of state. Also depending on where you live it may be more difficult. NorthEast drivers seem to like the 6MT/Nav's more than West coast. Also pretty rare here in Florida at least Tampa area. Most if not all 6MT/Nav's will be special ordered but you might get lucky to find an unclaimed one arriving sooner than the 3-4 month order time.

The California Dealer is correct. Most dealers will not have one on the lot because it may sit for awhile. My Red/Ebony was located 60 miles away and was on that lot for 3 months. Perfect for me but apparently not for all of that dealer's traffic during that time.

But believe me THE WAIT IS WORTH IT !!! ONE SWEET RIDE (make that TWO)!!

I said I don't care too much...I'll take any color as long as it is NOT beige or white...that leaves like 6 others.

It isn't hard if you have patience. They should have at least 1 on the lot for you. They come usually in Black (least I've seen them at 3 dealerships)

I want a red/camel combination. Local dealer has 3 of them on his lot: auto, auto/navi, 6sp. This covers all possible configurations, except the one I need: 6sp/navi

I would expect a dealer to have AT LEAST one of every set up on their lot. That doesn't help you on color, but if you're hard up about a specific set up, you can get it. If you want a certain color, order it and be patient. I know, I know, it's hard to be patient, hell, I'm not patient at all...I'm moaning because I have to wait a month for my wheels! But if it's what you want, you do it. By the way, just checked my dealer's inventory...one SSM/Quartz 6MT - Navi.
