Well I went to Pohanka Acura (VA) today to have the handsfree link looked at. The MID just says booting and my phone will no longer connect. Service advisor says nothing can be done but replace the modul and it will have to be ordered. He wants to keep my car and give me a rental. No way, the phone may be broke but the car runs.

I was just called by the Service Advisor and the part is on a national back order and will be a week before they even know when it is coming in. Really nice guy and he is extremely apologetic. No big deal it is still one hell of a car!!!

Anyone esle have the Handsfree Link Booting issue?

 

My HFL died after a week and my car is at the dealer. Expect they will have to replace the unit. Didn't hear about the back order yet. I have seen a bunch of other posts in this forum (search for HFL or Bluetooth in the title) where the HFL has died. I think the thing has a design problem. Unless they fixed it recently, the problem is likely to come back even after the unit is replaced.

 

Getting my HFL module replace on Thursday, we will see if that fix it.

 

On mine they are still trying to get my remotes working properly, course it would help if the service adviser would write down what I tell him instead of taking brief notes the mechanic doesn't read.
