I have about 1000 miles on mine, its an 05 WDP with Navi, No Rattles and NO BUTT Prints Im I the only one!!!!! Cant be, so lets find out!!!

2004 ... 23,000 miles ... rattles everywhere .. just like my '02 TL Type S ... butt prints as well. And guess what, I really don't give a crap anymore if I can't resolve them on my own, I just turn XM up!

you get all the features and better performance than low end 5 series bmw....for 15k less the price

the 15k you're not getting is uber quality leather, uber quality build and the BMW brand...

I can use that 15k for other stuff....more valuable!

15,725 miles and a couple of minor rattles (rear-center seat belt housing and driver's door panel). No big deal though. I also have the "butt print" in the driver's seat, but I have no worries about that either. My only issue is the non-felted windows guides that keep scratching my tint.

2004 AM/Ebony 6MT 5100miles....only a center compartment rattle that I fixed myself...no other rattles since taking ownership in Sept. 04

2004 NBP/Ebony with 19000 miles. Had one steering wheel loose button rattle which was fixed. Other than that, no rattle. Knock on wood.

Only 1100 miles on my 05 RRP with navi - it's been perfect so far - no rattles, no problems - knock on wood! I love my car!!!

Yes I have had numerous rattles in my (Dec 03) 04 TL.... Fixed em myself... A few new ones have popped up that I have yet to tackle though..


Rattles and crappy tires are my only gripes....

1100 miles and no rattles. No butt prints either. I did have a period chirp / squeak in the rear cabin which the dealer fixed on Friday. It turned out to be in the rear passeneger side door panel, which he corrected with some insulation tape. I drove home over every bump, manhole and coarse pavement I could find....solid. I could never isolate where it came from, but they seem to have found it and corrected it.

I was impressed they made no fuss about investigating the chirp, repairing it, explaining it and even apologizing for the inconveniance. It was a positive experience and he encourage me to return if it returned or others surfaced.

Even if it did, I'll be grateful if this is my only TL assembly / engineering issue.

Now onto the Tint Shop!

With 12k on my '04 I've only ever had one rattle from the frivers side sunvisor - but only when it's down.
Other then that great car.
Oh yes do have a prattle once in a while. But only when the wife is in the car.

800 miles - 3 weeks old

Very minor/intermittant vibration noise in sunroof area. Very minor occasional vibration/chirp from passenger door side (probably same guy that did Tampa Mike).

Everything else is awesome! I smile when I see a G35 or BMW 3/5/7 or Mercedes or Cadillac STS because I know that I have way more features and fun with my car for 10-30K less in price.

The only thing that is frustrating about my TL is that somedays I have to decide if I want to:

a) work
b) relax
c) drink
d) eat
e) visit friends
f) hang out with family
g) drive my TL around

Let's just say that 'g' wins a lot!!!

I SWEAR TO GOD I HAVE NOT HEARD ONE RATTLE OR OTHER ODD NOISE EMMINATING FROM MY 04TL...

Now mind you I always have my radio on... hehe...

Seriously guys... It's a fucking car... they do make noise... the leather on the seats does wear-thin sometimes (your big fat asses are on them on the time)... We are owners of an all-together well-made vehicle.... We could be driving Fords (or any other crappy manufacturer of shoddy made cars)

Please folks enough of this bitching about the noises your car makes... be they rattles of otherwise...

Enjoy your car for what it is... a piece of machinery made from metal, plastic, and rubber... which has a finite life... and with which things go wrong...

If they is truly a problem with yours then take it back and get it fixed... or better yet go try another manufacturer and see if you can find the "perfect" vehicle... Because I believe you people who do all this bitching will find something wrong with anything and everything in your lives... PLEASE.... It's a fucking car...

One of the most intelligent comments I've read yet concerning rattles...yes..it's a piece of machinery.....and isn't perfect!!!

So far though...1 year...and 5000 miles later....I still have yet to hear a rattle in my car...although I could probably coax a creak or two if I drove the car on a really horrible road...but on decent roads, I have absolutely NO rattles so far! I love this car!!!

about 12,000 miles on mine. I get minor "tics" from the leather over bumps, have the 1500 driveline vibrations every now and then, and the center console (upper) CD rattle when the car is parked in cold temps for the first few minutes. Butt prints much better after dealer recovered the front driver's seat.

Keep in mind that not all cars rattle, there's only a selected few. You only have 1000 miles, maybe you should wait for a little longer for the butt prints to appear.. most of the so called "butt prints" are from 2004 owners, and Acura seemed to have corrected in 2005 models.
