Grinding noise when I depress the gas pedal
Hi, I'm the happy owner of a beautiful new 5AT TL NAVI.
It's been getting raves from the office and my friends whom I show the car to. Recently though, I have noticed a 'grinding' when I depress the gas pedal from start. This is felt through the pedal itself. P push down on the pedal and feel this vibration and hear a grinding sound. It lasts only a second or two but it is noticeable. Anyone else have this problem and know what it might mean? Any advice/experience would be most appreciated. Cheers! Parabolica |
I'm wondering if you're not feeling the ABS calibrating itself. Shouldn't be a grinding sound - only a click that is almost inaudible and might be felt as a vibration. Just a guess.

Does this only happen after the car gets wet? If so, it's just your brake pads removing all the rust from the brake rotors.

gas pedal vibra,hum
My car has about 1600 mi. and lately I feel this vibration, hum type sound thru the gas pedal. It seems like something in the drivetrain or exhaust.abyone else have this happen.
when the car is at idle its fine, but when you accelerate you can feel it. :dunno |
I feel the grinding noise too. Like you stated, it occurs during few minutes after start up and lasts 3 seconds. Some vibration is felt thru the gas pedal. I think it's normal whatever it is.
