Great Experience w/ Dealer Addressing Tire Issue!
Today I took my 04 TL NBP/Ebony/5AT/Navi to my dealer for the first "A1" service that was due (6200 miles). While at the dealer, the Service Manager asked me if I had any complaints about my TL. I told him that I loved the car, and it would be perfect if I did not have tire vibration and if my seat memory would not quit after a couple days. He asked me to describe the tire vibration, and then we took my car for a ride. He admitted that it was annoying. Once back at the dealership, he said that the seat memory was no problem (showed me the service bulletin), and that he was going to make a quick call to his "Corporate Rep" (as he called him). Long story short...20 minutes later they were putting the new EL42's on my car. The service manager pulled me aside and told me that if these tires did not fix the problem to my satisfaction, to contact him and he would arrange "another brand alternative". Needless to say, after hearing about what many of you had to go through to get cooperation from your dealers or ACS, I was stunned.
The new tires do ride much more smoothly, but I think in a couple weeks I may go back and take him up on the "alternative" offer (Michelin Pilots perhaps?). Anyways, I had a very good experience. Good luck to everyone that is still dealing with this problem.
My Dealer: Jeffrey Acura in Roseville, Michigan
Service Manager: Doug Malayik (sp?)
