Got scared by the long nose overhang

Yesterday I went to dealer to see if they had any deal on TL. The guy was very nice and asked me to take a test drive.

WHen I tried to pull out of the dealership exit and get on the road, i scraped, thats not a steep ramp at all!

No I didn't. I usually run very slow and pay alot of attention when geting on or off the curbs just to avoid any potential tire or wheel damage.

The dealership ramp is just about 3 inches high, and 1.5 feet long. This is a very mild slope. There are countless numbers of ramp in Philly which are much steeper than this one, and if this mild dealership ramp can cause scrrape, I couldn't imagine how many times i am going to scrape the front end if i buy this car and drive it in Philly.

Anybody else found the combination of lower ground and long nose a problem?

I have... there are just some places it is unavoidable. Sometimes even just entering mall complexes...

but at least its not the actual bumper scraping...

It's the air dam that is scraping.

I never scraped until just today. I have a steep driveway and washed the car. When I was done, I pulled out of the driveway "straight" instead of at an angle. I heard the front air dam scrape the driveway. No biggie, no damage and most cars will do that occasinally. The piece is flexible enough unless you really hit something.

If you don't want to scrape, you'll have to buy an SUV (ack!!!!!).

I have the A-Spec kit and that thing scrapes bottom if i have 3 passengers each time i get to my driveway. But they sound worse than they really are. The scraping is minimal and out of sight. thank goodness.

GAINFUL:
Did you go to Ardmore Acura for the test drive? There's a steep dip as you exit the dealership. It's unavoidable unless you creep out very slowly and at an angle.
