This is also happening to my car. I raised the headrest up 2 levels and no more noise... I will get some leather conditioner and apply it to see if it makes a difference.

i love 04TL..but the rattle are make me sick...honestly i've been to my dealer for 5 times dealing this problem....
one more thing anyone have ever got a problem with the engine..(not exactly)..
u know what...when i accelerate my car from 60-110 or 120...the malfunction light flashing...

I have the rear deck rattle, both door panels rattle like a mofo and I just heard another rattle coming from somewhere behind the instrument panel. Other than that I love the car but these rattles are ridiculous, I've owned 9 cars and thi one by far rattles the most.

i have had rattles since day one. My TL is the biggest piece of poop. I recognize this is the exception but mine is. 10k miles and this thing has rattled since day one. All over the place. My door even sags now. Dealership was up to something when they sold this to me. Hood was misaligned day one, navi was broken, dashboard mis aligned - the salesman had quit when I came to pick it up. The Manager handed the car over to me when I came to pick it up - a week later (for prob #1) he was gone too. I am really upset to be honest.

That's a crock of shit, there arent many cars that have SO MUCH road noise that you wont hear rattles.

By the way, I have a ton of rattles.

I have a rattle on the driver door by the very top plastic piece. Not sure if it was from the tint job or Acura.
Happens one in awhile.

My TL is in the 10-15K vin range and I have had to fix and am continuing to remedy numerous rattles/squeaks.


Like many have stated, the quietness of the TL has nothing to do with the amount of rattles heard. I myself don't find it that much quieter than other cars. Some may feel we have a lot of forum members complaining about rattles due to "looking" for a forum to complain on. That may be partially true yet statistically it could also be saying: given the large percentage of forum members having rattles and the fact we are only a very small percentage of overall TL owners, rattle issues among all TL owners would also be a very high percentage.
One must also remember many owners would never think twice about a rattle.. It just wouldn't bother them enough to complain about it. (My wife :-))

My opinion, not a complaint per se, is the TL does overall develop way to many rattles. One issue true for me and many folks here is given the greater cost of the TL, and the fact it (mine and others) does rattle two to three times worse than any other car we've owned, just makes it stand out that much more.

And guys, this isn't something to get your shorts all bunched up over.. This thread and others just express that the TL could use some better "consistency" in preventing "unwanted" noises etc.. I use the word consistency due to the other obvious fact that not all TL's rattle.
