Congrats on your new TL! Got mine less than 2 weeks ago (SSM/Quartz/Navi/5AT) and absolutely love it. Are you getting the clear bra installed? I have it and it's the easiest way to keep the front bug and rock chip free.

UPDATE: They just unloaded her from the transport!!!!!! SSM/Ebony/5AT/NAVI. Having the rear deck lid spoiler added and then she'll be all mine. The wait is gonna kill me!

How to read the VIN
Dear Friends,
Pardon me if this has been asked a thousand times already on this site - I'm still a bit new to it and don't know everything about how to navigate...I also just got my VIN number today. How do you read it? Are the last four digits the indicator of how many 05's have come off the line so far?
My car was built this past Tuesday and Wednesday, and I can't wait to see it! 05 TL 5AT NAV ABP/Camel.

Streamer and Kona, thanks for the information. To answer Streamer's question, I just have a good rapport with my salesman, and he kept checking to see whether there was a VIN yet. On Tuesday he told me that we would have a VIN by the end of the week, because the car was scheduled to be on the line Tuesday and Wednesday. Sure 'nuf, on Friday he called me with the VIN. Now this may have worked for me a little differently than for most, because I "reserved" a car that was already earmarked for my dealer. It had the exact specs I wanted, and was in the first shipment of 05's scheduled for dlvy (before 10/15). So technically, this was not a custom order, but a reservation on a car already scheduled for production and dlvy to my dealer, which just happened to match my specs exactly. It's now getting so close I can smell the leather!

I called my dealer today, too anxious. He said that my build date was 10/06 or 10/09.
He said they got their first shipment sunday , He was going to see if they have a match out of delivery .If they do i could take delivery this week.
