Got my Type-s! and its in WDP!
What are the chances of me walking in to the dealership yesterday and wanting to test drive a 08 black stick type s and finding a white one instead. The black ones been there for 4 months with 25k miles trying to go for 34k . I been looking for a type s for a about 2 months now and trying to sell my evo private but couldnt so i couldnt pass this deal. Salesman tells me a white type s auto just came in a day ago and they havent posted on autotrader yet cuz i look on it everyday. I test drove it and i was like im goin to get the evo now so u guys can appraise it so the guy was like lets go to ur house so i drove it to my house and brought the evo to the dealership. They appraised my car and gave me a surprising 21,800 . KBB listed my car for 23k and i was thinkin the dealership would give me 18 or 19. They wanted 28 for the type s and it had 25k. They brought the price down to 27 something and i cough up the rest and got it! The previous owner did take care the paint of the car but the maintenance i check the dip stick and it had sludge on the bottom of the dip stick. I told them i want a free oil change and they did. It still has some sludge. What do u guys think i should do? Also does the headliner come black? here are some pics!

Nice looking ride - congrats. I bought my wife's 09 Ody from Rick Case - good people to deal with. I bought my own TL from Miami Acura because it was closer but I'll give Case a try when my lease runs out in 2011.

Did you have ther records pulled from the dealer to see when the last oil change was done? I would be a little scared to buy a car that the previous owner never even cared to change the oil at the 7,500 mile interval. Is that asking a lot? That sounds a little scary to me.

My maintenance is scheduled by Acura for every 3,000 miles..
Even though the book says 5K intervals due to weather conditions and roads in PR, Acura has the schedule every 3k..
They should have the service record for the car.. ask about it..

Sick Evo...bet you had fun driving that. From what I remember about rick case dealerships (I used to live in Ft. Lauderdale) is that they etch their branding into the trunk lid of the car...that sucks. Good luck getting that filled in...if you care about it that is. Sick car though. Now that I think more about the one I bought (CPO '06 anthracite a/t, stock) and I paid $24 including trade...maybe could've waited a little longer to get a type s...oh well. I love the TL anyway, hope it's an enjoyable trade for you.

EVO, congrats on your new Type S. Smart not getting the RRP TL-it was $34k for a base TL????.....I don't think so!!!!
AA had a good idea....get rid of the license plate holder and the Rick Case logo above the ACURA badge on the trunk.

looks like a younger person owned the white one, i say that because it has an all black grill, which isnt an option on therse cars, someone painted that. oh and i just picked up my black 07 type s with 17, k miles for 25k, so uh yeah those prices seem a little high to me, mines certified and all that, even got the extended warrenty for 1k
maybe i should put mine up for sale for 32k and just by another one for 25k and have mad profit?
07 black type s with 17kmiles flawless condition 32k FIRM

VERY nice! I have to say, before starting my search for my own Type S, which a found a couple weeks ago, I was not a big fan of white cars in general. Only a few caught my eye. The WDP Type-S though? Very slick.

By the way, the 2009 White TL looks nice. The painted beak really saves the look of the car. But......I'm not liking the body side molding, and the Aspec kit for the 2009 doesn't look that great. Notice the nose-it looks like it stops at the side of the nose and does not carry on to the front of the car-why?????? It looks like they ran out of money to finish the design of the nose spoiler. Yuk........
