Got my A-Spec steering wheel installed today.....

I ordered it earlier in the week and to my surprise it is exactly like the ones found in the U.S. A-Spec TLs.....black leather wrapped with blue stitching and silver inserts at the 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock positions.....some other Canadian owners said that these steering wheels would be all black if ordered in Canada.....well it looks like this may not be true even though someone posted a pic of an all black one.....any other Canadian owners buy this steering wheel ???

What is the difference between the A-Spec steering wheel and the regular one? I was trying to figure that out when I was looking at the accessories brochure? They looked pretty much the same, and my dealer couldn't give me an answer...

Different stitching (blue stitching, for example), thumb grips, (by the 9 and 12 position), and slightly thicker.

You can buy the steering wheel separately for $927.96 (CDN)... Seems like a waste of money for different stiching... just my personal opinion though...

Jeez thats a lot of money for a steering wheel. Maybe 200 bucks USD would be reasonable.

Fact is, most of that hefty price tag goes for the airbag and not for the wheel itself........not worth it in my opinion for what you get.

That doesn't make much sense.... I thought the wheel was the actual wheel and didn't include the center part. For example;

Mine cost $650 installed. I don't know about how MB sensors work but it lets out a series of "beeps" at different intervals when you go in reverse depending on how far the object is in relation to the back bumper.

Yah, I know that one. But I do prefer to have the whole black steering wheel, the canadian model. :o And, I hope I could get it from the dealer plus installation.

sorry Tex but there is no black canadian version of the A-Spec steering wheel...mine is just like the one you good ol' boys have down there...yes you can buy almost all the parts that make up the A-Spec package in the U.S. up here in Canada....i'm almost 3/4 of the way there !.....yea the steering wheel and the rest of the parts like the wheels and body spoilers are not cheap but they are quality parts that were designed only for the TL and come, in my case,with the 3 year + extended warranty.....and they make this car look cool and unique..... ......i am almost certain that i own one of just a few TLs with these A-Spec parts in all of Canada.

can I order this through my dealer? According to the auction it's part number 08U97-SEP-210

Is it cheaper to order it online?

How much was installation?

edit: Well, stupid question if I can order it through my dealer, what I meant was "is it better to order through the dealer or online?"
