Got hit by a flying orange road cone!!!! pics

while driving on the parkway at about 60mph in the center lane with normal traffic at night, the car in front of me swirves a little bit and this orange cone came flying out form underneath his car and hit my front bumper. I couldnt change lanes b.c of cars on both sides. I didnt want to slam the brakes b.c of the cars behind me. I swirved enough so it wouldnt hit the dead center of my bumper and possibly fly up onto my car b.c it was bouncing.

it cracked the bumper and left some really nasty marks. i did my best compounding the dirt and lil scratches off, but as u can see it still looks like SH*T. is this is an expensive fix? the piece is not loose, but should I be worried about it cracking worse on its own?

Wow, a cone came flying at me once before but it didn't leave a mark.

Other than fixing the bumper, you could cover it up with an A-Spec lip.

Is this WDP? If you have to have any paint done whatsoever on this color, good luck. My rear bumper is being repainted and they've had it for one week and still can't find a decent match. I wish I had gone with another color right now.

3 Stage White is very hard to match the color.

Best thing for you is to get the A-spec kit or just the lip. In the end you will probably send almost as much as it is to get the entire kit. Body shop will just buy another bumper and mess up the paint charge you an arm for everything.

I know a good color... ...but I'm not saying...nope...(NBP)

I have to get my bumper fixed too. But I am going to get it replaced. I hope! A bodyshop told me several hundred dollars would be what it cost to replace our bumper. They don't come pre-painted. Good luck!

Other than the pictures that sixsixfour posted, there are plenty of members that have installed just the front A-Spec lip. A search will bring up more pictures.

Tim is about to start up a group buy for the full kit for $799 shipped, so you might as well get the whole thing.

My dealer will price-match with them. See if yours will if you show them the printout of the price. That's what I have to do.

If you might trade your car, this might make it sell for more. Wouldn't you want it if you were buying it? I would! If I lost my mind and didn't go NBP of course!

But yeah, get it! Even if you just do the front! Makes it look hella better! Just look at the ones that have and have not! No comparison!

Get some gorilla glue and seal that crack before you do the lip though, hate for that thing to crack all the way up to the top.

+1 also on aspec lip

seroiusly, an aspec lip is your best bet for sure. you can get it for around 250 shipped and NO it wont look weird without the side skirts and rear. I saw a guy who walked into my work with the kit and asked him about it. he told me it was actually just the front and rear because the side skirts dont make much of a difference. (adds like 1 inch?)

im about to get just the front lip myself. partially to cover up scratches too.
