Cool Goodbye TL-hello MDX

While i get my RONJON kit put on I got a spanking new MDX 1390 mi on it for my loaner car from acura of lynnwood. its been 2 days and i REALLY miss my girl but i know she will be back sexier than ever. the MDX is nice but surprisingly not as much leg room as the TL (im 5'11btw) but i do luv having that new car smell after getting the mdx im am thinking of getting the switchblade key and adding in a back up cam

I had 2011 MDX tech for a loaner and I was very very very satisfied with it. I put about 300 miles on it too. The wife loved it as well. The tech package comes with a back up cam....right?

I really like the 2011 MDX. Not sure if it has enough power though.

i got a 2011 mdx as a loaner. i think all mdx's have backup cams cause this one was base and had one. it was in the rear view mirror instead of a nav screen (didn't have one). also, yeah not enough power. and for $45k just get an X3

A X3? Seriously? That thing is tiny compared to the MDX.

the new ones? they're almost as big as the original X5s since the redesign. and unless you have more than 4 passengers it wouldn't really make a difference.

The title of this thread should be :

goodbye TL, Hello GAS GUZZLER

Had an MDX as a loaner last summer. I loved everything about it EXCEPT the gas mileage that it gets is unacceptable. Practically every other major competing brands of vehicle INCLUDING Lexus and Infiniti have multiple Hybrids out there now. Does Acura think they're shit doesn't stink to the point where people aren't gonna get wise to them sooner or later with the price of gas being what it is nowadays?

yeah my loaner is 6at but it seems wierd using ss on the mdx and paddle shifters on the steering wheel just seem out of place on a suv.

steering wheel paddle shifter should only be on coups. imho

i read the title and was like ha, i just sold our mdx to get a 3g TL. Loved the mdx but in all actuality, we never really used it for more than a grocery getter. Love the TL. its our 3rd one.

Saying the paddles are out of place on the MDX is like saying SH-AWD is as well because its made for sporty driving. Here's the thing, the paddles work in sync with the sporty driving of the SH-AWD system.

i dont find it "sporty" at all. still handles more like a car than an suv but i wouldnt call that "sporty"

to me when i think of sporty i think of stiff suspension, quick acceration, firm grip on the road, and an engine thats louder then MY sound system.

umm yeah i have had the aspec kit on my car for years I was going to be one of the first people with the ronjon kit but the wife didnt like the way the ronjon looked (due to not being able to see a fully painted kit at the time) and we went with aspec. so yeah i been wanting the kit since it was just a photoshoped image on the web. and since my wife has her own car i am free to do what i want with it.

the TL def started out as OUR car she is the reason i got SSM in the first place it was the only color we both liked. i wanted KBP but the lack of shine on the cars at the dealership made them less appealing.

Angry bye bye aevo hello feet

so i go to see my kit not only does it NOT FIT its BROKEN looks SCUFFED none of the edges are even. some of the mounting parts appear to be dremmeled off

so now i have no car& my car is sitting in seattle half naked and i have no transportation.

i called ronjon customer service and they told me to take pics so the next day asap is when i got to see the kit take pics and all that. Ron called me back while i was at work sometime and he got the pics and said he was going to show them to the manufacture.

if i had to guess i think the kit i got was a returned kit that got messed up or something with the manufacture this dosent seem like the product that its supposed to be.

What a pain in the ass. Sorry to hear

Whenever you get something, ALWAYS open the box and inspect the parts before you take them to get installed.

the vast majory of what is wrong you wouldnt know untill you try to put it on (if your not familar with the kit) unfortunaly as no one in the area has done this kit before from my understanding, so no one here knows if what we got is how its supposed to be or not
