Found a 2007 Tl type s black....has 100k on the ticker. Body is in good shape except the bottom front has a crack where it hit a curb or something. Car has clear bra on the front. He said his wife hit a deer in it once. Interior is great. Drives great. 100k maintenance has not been done yet. Needs tires soon. Passenger side mirror has a crack in the turn signal housing. Other than that it looks flawless. Comes with the thick rubber floor and trunk mats. He is the first owner. States it has Had oil chained every 6k miles with full synthetic. New brakes and rotors.

Have him talked down to 15.5k good deal?

5at....forgot to mention that..... I have given up on finding a 6mt in my range

100k on the clock...105k service not done yet...front bumper is cracked from a curb/deer/who knows...tires are shot...mirror turn signal is busted...and it's a 5AT? who knows what else is going on with that car?

$15.5k? add an additional $1-1.5k for 105k service, bumper damage is pricey, tires are $650 minimum, gotta replace the entire side mirror.

i would look elsewhere if he's asking $15.5k...just my 2 cents.

If the 6mt is what you originally wanted, dont go for the AT because your going to regret it later on. Look around further, you might just have to drive 100-150 miles or so to get the car you want.

Originally I did bc I thought the 5at would be so much slower than what this one was. It is plenty fast for a daily driver. I was really impressed. The 105k service would be much cheaper for me b.c I have a honda mechanic friends that charges me 30 percent of what his shop charges. He does that stuff at home on the side. Tires are not bald but within a year would need replaced. The little crack in the bumper is only about 3 inches long. Side parking light would be an expense but I would try to find one used somewhere. Still haven't decided on this one yet. Wanted some insight first.

Do you say no good b.c the mileage or b.c of the damage? If the 105k service was done would you think it's a good deal? It's bb value is still higher than this.

um...pass. no unicorn?

who the hell knows what the deer really did to the car. i had a friend who had a deer run into his mazda 6...practically destroyed the front fender he was only driving 10-15 mph and the deer HIT HIM. too many issues. i'd pass and find something better. seems like the wife kept hitting stuff with the car if the bumper and mirror are messed up.

Lol...I can't find my unicorn... I have been patiently looking for months and cannot find a 6mt in my range. I have a program on my iPad where I can check every craigslist post..I have tried cars.com eBay auto trader...nothing in my range...But...this 5at was plenty fast enough for me. I have a 78 camaro and a gsxr 1000 for speed. I was really just wanting the 6mt for gas reasons.

Maybe I will see if he will go lower on it. It is otherwise in really great shape. Not a scratch on it. Looks brand new. Interior looks new as well. Drove great. Hmmm.....

I do appreciate whe responses from you guys. Thank you.

Looks like you've already fallen in love with the car. So no matter what we tell you, you're most likely going to get it.

i thought you only wanted black, blue or white? are you opening up your color selection?? heh, i see noone has purchased the KBP with base parts on it in silver spring md, yet. it would be funny to just ask them to get a set of type s rims and then tell them you'll buy the car once the correct rims are on.

I like silver too.

And that guy in md can't speak a lick of English. He won't budge on price.

sounds high to me, though the type s has some super nice features, i was in your price bracket area, and just went with a base 6mt for less than your current deal and it has 62k miles. mt mattered more to me than type S.

The prices are kinda high for me. I don't mind paying 19 but it would have to be a really good deal...

the black one for $19K...one owner, clean carfax (from what has been provided) 87K miles. i don't have the kbb in front of me...you've done a ton of research and hunting around to know what the going price is...so...it doesn't hurt to try.

your unicorn is out there...you'll find the car and if it was meant to be it was meant to be...time to ignore your heart for right now and go with your instincts and your brain. hopefully in the meantime you've been saving a few bucks here and there for the right time.

let's see. 100K miles, front damage, cracked mirror, hit a deer? Needs 100K service, and tires. And what about the stuff he's not telling you?

PASS!

Pass on the car. Prior to moving back to America from Korea I was looking all over the web, craigslist, ebay, etc. for a TL but couldn't find one in decent condition, mileage, color and price I wanted. When I moved back I had to get a rental car for two weeks while I looked for a car, and it was burning a hole in my pocket. I drove down to San Francisco to look at a couple cars but didn't like what I saw. I stayed an extra night and luckily I found my '04 6 speed MT, black, tinted all around, with 82k for $13k. Car was in great condition and checked out well on Carfax, with no accidents. It was about an hour south of Portland and after checking it out in person, I purchased it and drove it home a couple days after that. Keep looking around and hopefully something better will show up. I know it's easy to get impatient and settle, but if I was paying $15k for a car, I'd sure as hell want to make sure it's one I'd feel good about purchasing. Just my 2 cents

Yes I bought it and I absolutly love this car. Drives really great. A few rattles but I wil research on here how to fix that. The guys at the hyundai dealer must not have known how to reset its oil life indicator bc its telling me I hve 15 percent lwft. I will neeid to research that also jut I dd call and verify the oil was changed. I love thiscar and I ak very happy with it. I will post pics very soon.

Congrats and welcome aboard! I would check that oil anyway and make sure it was changed. Its' too easy to lie on the phone.
