Glendale Pothole
it's raining...it was dark..couldn't see...it was on BRAND BLVD. in Glendale, CA right in front of the ALEX THEATER.
I took pictures of my tire in current state....but couldn't find hole...but it's flat...
i read in the YAY pothole thread about getting reimbursed...anyone know exactly how to get reimbursed in detail? what do i need? where do i need to go? and how do i need to argue it? I have less than 5000 miles on my 05 TL and I was driving slowly 10-15 miles per hour..(I was trying to find parking).
I'll take better pictures tomorrow and post them.

I called the Glendale Police Dept. and he told me to call the City at (818)548-4844 and tell them, but I would need to prove that the pothole was the reason for me popping my tire. How could I prove that? My friend was in the car with me, could I use him as a witness? I have scratches on my rim and my tire is flat, but it's too dark to see how I actually popped my tire. Anyone have any good ideas how to prove that the pothole actually caused the pop? Once again, I have less than 5000 miles on my 05 TL and I was traveling less than 10-15 mph trying to find parking on Glendale's busiest street (BRAND BLVD.)
Thanks for your help.

I've been there and seen that... lately after the rain, not only glendale suffers from this... 60 freeway, 605 freeway, Valley Boulevard (near the 605 entrace)....
I was going back from Acura of Glendale when I saw that pot hole... it's a bad one... i thought I was going to pop mine when I passed the Valley Blvd pothole on the way to airport this morning...

I took my tire into the laundry room at my house and took a picture...as I said earlier...couldn't find the hole, but I found it...and it's really small.....maybe I can get it repaired for cheap? possibly even plugged?

I hate potholes, and this rain is horrible. Good luck with getting reimbursed. I think LA City has a form somewhere online I have to print out to get my money. Too tired now, I'll look around tomorrow.

yea it is too bad
It is too bad that they cannot repair sidewall damage... but...
Many tire companies suggest that you replace and not repair a tire. In some cases I guess I would agree, especially if you are going to be driving at high speeds that generate a lot of heat.
The problem here is do you replace the tire with one just like it...? e.g., EL42s...
