Gift for a 2008 Acura TL Type-S owner?

I need your help please! My boyfriend is the proud owner of a 2008 Acura TL Type-S. I myself am not an Acura owner, nor do I know anything about Acura cars. I am looking to buy my boyfriend something car-related for his upcoming birthday. He already has tinted windows, rain guards, satellite radio, nice rims, a custom-fit sunshield... I have no idea what else is left to get him!! Any ideas? My budget is $100, but I don't mind going over this a little bit if I need to. He's worth it.

Thank you!!

i had to read this over. I just bought a tl type s and my birthday is a few days away and my gf is scrambling trying to find something to buy me - but I dont have tinted windows so it's coincidence.

Unless you know him super super super super super super super super well I would recommend NOT buying anything for the car. Not to contradict myself now, but the only thing I would maybe go with all weather mats if he doesnt have them already - other than that I would steer clear of anything car related.

Hmm... interesting ideas. I'll have to figure out a sneaky way to ask him about these...

Links would be super helpful! I'm not kidding when I say I'm a total Acura noob. I wouldn't even know who reputable eBay sellers are.

Haha I can assure you, I'm not your girlfriend sorry!

Don't worry, we've been together for 7 years. I'd like to think that makes me qualified to say I know him pretty well.

Good idea, except he already has the all-weather mats.

Good call. I keep that in mind as a last resort. Any chains or places that are better for Acura peeps?

Yeah, 12qts of Redline D4 ATF is something like ~$120 shipped from Amazon. That's another solid investment.
not a bad idea.

But the ATF and the sway bar would be perfect. Now the question is, how much do you love him?

TLfreek is right. My wife has known me since middle school and we have been together for 9 years. She knows me VERY VERY well but she doesn't have the same taste as me when it comes to cars and motorcycle stuff.

She bought me full racing leathers, a helmet, and gloves and I hated it. I had to tell her it didn't fit right and returned all $2,500 of it. She also wanted to buy me carbon fiber stuff for my car, but her brother told me so I conveniently brought up the fact how much I don't like carbon fiber on cars. She now doesn't buy me anything cause I'm so picky but I don't mind.

You may be good with getting the progress sway bars since he won't have to look at them and it will add to the handling of the car. Keep in mind you will have to have them installed. That is if he is into altering the car is this manner. Some people like to know all the stuff on their cars are from the manufacturer or only from major brands.

Just bring it up saying somebody at work said how much better their car handles now that they put some kind of sway bars on their car. Then ask, does it make that much of a difference? If he answers positively, get them. If he doesn't know what you're talking about, don't.

BTW, do not get him transmission fluid. That would by far, be the worst thing you could get him.

The HID fog lights is also a good idea.

Yeah. Wouldn't want to upgrade the life blood of the 2nd most expensive component on the car.

Hahahahahahahahahaha.........Hahahahahahahahaha... .......Hahahahahaha........ That was funny.

Let me guess, you probably don't let the gas tank go below half full either. Or half empty??? Depends. According to your sig, it's probably........hmm.

A bit more than $100, but maybe the updated DVD Nav disc if his is outdated? Will be closer to $185 or $200 though.

Keep in mind, the new one is coming out soon.

This.

EXCELLENT suggestion.

Another possibility on the "cosmetics" side: either an OE carbon fiber trim kit or a nice Momo Combat Evo Shift Knob.
